One of the worst hotels I had stayed in last few yrs of travel to saudi...not by choice though as no rooms available elsewhere...Except location and internet, everything is absolutely in bad state including staff/room/restaurants/management. My advise: AVOID staying here or if no room available elesewhere, POSTPONE your trip...!!..One of the worst managed properties of Pullman..

Stayed with friends a few nights. Arrived at 6pm, very tired after a long flight to be told our rooms aren't ready yet as still occupied! Had to wait 6 hours in the lounge for that. No apology, no explanation and not a complimentary drink! Had to go to reception every hour to check what's happening. Also, after check out and moving to a different place, my friend discovered they had over-charged him and when contacted, which he continues doing 2 months later, they continue to have no explanation but promise to investigate! Terrible service so avoid!

Stayed here on business last week - not by choice. Check in was slow, check out was slow. A colleague said the beds were comfortable and he was right. Room was in need of renovation and maintenance.

Room service dinner and breakfast were basic offerings, hot items were luke warm.

Good point was free WIFI.

Good location for me as a business traveller. But to be honest, I never had a room more dirty and used up than in this hotel. The staff, except the reception is nice and helpful. Breakfast is acceptable, but don't try the burger from the room service - a great disappointment.

Stayed at this hotel a few months back for a business trip to Jeddah, and was quite disappointed. Generally, Sofitel has a good portfolio and all their properties are well maintained and value for the money. Not the case in Jeddah.

The location of the hotel is pretty good, right in the middle of the city with quick access to many areas of interest and close to the business district. That's about the only good thing.

The rooms are bare and the decor is very average, not what you expect from a 5-star property. The carpets were stained and not properly maintained, the bathroom just ok. There is no coffee making facility in the room, which is unacceptable these days - you can find this in small motels all over, and they claim to be a 5-star chain.

There were a lot of missing items in the room like a room service menu, etc. You had to call room service to hear the menu from the operator and ask him for specifics, which again is not acceptable.

The breakfast buffet was not too bad, I suppose, but I think overall the feel of the place is not very inviting. I had coffee in the lobby cafe and I must say the coffee was well prepared, so they have that going for them :)

This is not to say that the place is beyond repair - it has a lot going for it like location and the brand name to pull customers, but they need to work on maintaining their property and provide the value for the price that they are charging (>$200/night).

There are better options available in Jeddah in the same price range, so shop around before you book here. Not horrendous or unlivable but certainly not that great, either.
