“Even in low season overcrowded”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Too many people, too noisy. Very slippery, but nice once you are in the water. Full of jumping youngsters, they have great fun, but not at all relaxing, not enough places to sit.

“MUST GO for a DIP!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

It's very special and the water is very very CLEAR.... value for money..!! Entrance fee is just 20,000kip per pax and includes a walk through their BEAR Rescue Centre...we got to see about 6-8 bears there!
For those who wanna try to be TARZAN for the day, go visit and do remember to bring along a towel, a change of clothes and most importantly your CAMERA...you can get great photos shots here. There are public wooden shacks for you to change your clothes too. Great place for picnic as well.

“Nice place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Marvellous water colour! Great possibility to take pictures. Waterfall rather small and not too impressive, but surroundings. Worth to walk through the forest, to see the bears in Bears Rescue Centre. A lot of places to sit and rest. Don't wear flip flops if you'd like to climb to the very top of the waterfall

“A must do in Luang Prabang!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

We visited here on a whim and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Absolutely stunning water and had the added bonus of the asian bear sanctuary. There's a great rope swing into the water which is great fun. 7 of us paid 150,000 kip (€15) for a tuk tuk to take us there wait for us and drop is back. Its about 40 mins drive.

Highly recommended!!

“A must outing from LP”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

The drive to/from the falls is interesting and fun. Tuk-tuks don't make the trip so they move you to small pickup trucks. The prices are set and the local divers association is very strict on quality and service.

At the entrance you can opt to take the nature trail or the paved road to the top. We chose the first and so saw the Bear Preserve that is worthwhile and fun. Past that point you need to veer left rather than right because the serious trail takes you through dense forests and not really close to the falls.

The falls themselves a re a series of beautiful terraces leading to a true mountain waterfall. There is good swimming at a couple of terraces. The whole place is beautiful and very well taken care of. It's a must.
