“A great panorama view for Luang Prabang”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

You can step us for more than three hundred steps up there, but worth for it. There is a pagoda which is the landmark of the city.

“The view is the real attraction here”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

The climb is hard going especially in the heat but it's worth it. There is a temple at the top but it's the view everyone comes up here for. We started late afternoon to try and get a prime spot for the sunset but it was already busy and only got busier. With the sun looking like it was going to get lost behind the clouds anyway we decided not to wait, we had enjoyed the views long enough and decided to head down and took in the sights of the temples and the buddha footprint on the way down instead which are more interesting than the temple at the top as well.

“sunset not to miss”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

There is an entry fee once you climb up some steep steps. Make sure to have mosquito repellent, as you could be eaten up!!.
At the half way mark, there are still 138 steps to climb. Better to wear walking shoes.

“Great views over the river”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

This is a bit challenging hike up many, many stairs but you can take your time & there is a spot to sit and rest midway. We two 70+ seniors made it & you can too! Great photo opportunity. Sorry we didn't do it at sunset but we went early in the morning to avoid the heat.
