great boat ride across a river leads to the TAD SAE waterfall…. the waterfall is great but what makes it greater is the ability to watch or ride an elephant into the waterfall itself and swim with the elephant. also zip line - food and all in all is a great visit to add lustre to the wonder of LAOS ..

At first It looked like a family friendly 'commercialised' elephants and waterfall location, but there is also a pleasant jungle to walk through past the 'elephants area' (bring hiking shoes and towel/swimming suit). If you continue walking you can reach the elephant village. The food we had was good and value for money. Nice scenery and opportunities for photographing nature

You'll get a good workout climbing to this temple but there are many Buddhas of every description along the way. You get a fantastic view over the entire area once on top. The easier climb is from the main street as opposed from the back side.

The write-ups led me to believe this would be turquoise waters surrounded by stunning scenery. It looked tired and run-down. Not many amenities, freezing cold. Have seen much better.

We went to the waterfalls during the week and were the only people there. We were happy about that as it meant we didn't have to contend with lots of people.

There is a 20'000 kip entry fee per person.

The jungle area was really lovely to walk through although it was sometimes disappointing to see the amount of rubbish that had been carelessly left behind by people!. Be careful and wear good shoes as a lot of the walking tracks are in a bad state of disrepair and it is easy to trip over or fall! Some of the bridges across the small ravines, are broken so walking over is much like being on a tightrope. But this all added to our intrepid adventure and we quite enjoyed that aspect of the walk!

Due to the season, the waterfalls were not full of water although they were still very pleasant to look at.

At the entrance to the falls, there is a small restaurant and toilet facilities. There is also a lake that you can picnic beside or even swim in.

All in all, a nice day out and recommended if you are in Luang Prabang.
