It is a very small display and not known by the local tuk tuk drivers. I had to go back to the gift shop and have the owner tell the driver where it is. I would have liked more information.

We need to support all such NGO's. Let's help them keep up the good work. Sorry I could not take 100 words to say this. Why does Trip Advisor have a minimum number of words requirement?

Presents an accurate and balanced view of the history of the 1960s-70s conflict in Laos. We had previously visited the MAG centre in Phonsavan which seemed to be mainly an anti-US propaganda operation. These people actually solve Laos' problems rather than just grandstanding. Give them a generous donation.

Really enjoyed the movies they show you here about the UXO problem in Laos. Had no idea so many bombies were dropped, and are still injuring or causing death to people even to this day. Really opened my eyes to the problem

All people should visit these sites more often. It's a small but very potent reminder that the effects of wars don't end after the war is over, but they can linger on for many decades and affect the lives of many innocents.

The visitor center is a bit hard to find. It's located behind the Chao Anouvong monument. It's also not open on weekends so be sure to plan ahead.

Inside, you'll simply find piles of former UXO that the organization has disarmed and put on display. There are many maps and time line pictures to show that Laos is the most bombed country in the world. Many pictures are graphic so those who rolled low constitution may do well to drink a potion of fortitude before going in. A 20 minute video also is shown to guests to help further their understanding of the UXO challenges still being faced by this impoverished nation.

Final thought: This should be a required visit for anyone going to LP.
