Very impressed with the service as we had a large group of 14 people visiting from Cambodia, the manager was already waiting with the crew when we arrived and made the check-in process very smooth. By the time we got up to our rooms, the luggage was already delivered to the door and the rooms were already cool. Rooms are very cute and very comfortable. I tend to like to keep myself well-hydrated; they offered that we could order more complimentary water and they really meant that. The overall decor for the rooms and the ground are very tasteful and so relaxing. Highly recommended!

Our family stayed in the Maison and Laos room in the former colonial-style mansion of a prince. The rooms were large, very comfortable and well-equipped with all the amenities you could want including free wi-fi. Breakfast was always a treat with the ability to select from western and Laotian cooked breakfast. There was beautiful French bread, croissants and tamarind jam. Bhounkong and staff looked after us very well and even packed a breakfast box for my husband at 5.30am for early departure! Jibin would enquire each day to ensure our stay and activities were well looked after. Hongkham at the Front Desk was a genius with reservations for restaurants and tuk tuks. One evening, he took us cycling and showed us the primary school that this community-conscious hotel supports. As a local he also gave us insights into local life and even showed us the long wooden racing boats housed at the entrance of Wat Xieng Thong, which we had missed when we had gone ourselves earlier! . Luang Prabang is a beautiful town with no traffic lights! The hotel is in close proximity to the sites including the National Museum, the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre and Mount Phousi, where you get a birds-eye view of Luang Prabang. After a day of exploring, it was very nice to come back to relax and swim in the good-sized pool. After dinner in town, we would walk through the famous Night Market on the way back to the hotel. All efforts were made by the very friendly and efficient staff to make our stay there memorable and enjoyable. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Our reservation was never received and the hotel was almost full but they tried their best and did find us a nice room. The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful and ever so apologetic. We still don’t know whether they did mess up on our reservation or the fault lies with the agent but they try to make up for it.
The place is very nice. The rooms are beautiful and they light up essential oil every night so the rooms smell great. The bathroom is a bit small though but there is ample space for all your toiletries.
The place is very clean. The gardens are beautiful. The pool is a bit small but we did not have time to use it. The General Manager is Swiss and came to talk to the guests in the dining room at breakfast time. How nice. He had a parrot that is very friendly and if you are cautious, he will come and stand on your arm. Be prepared for his claws and wear a thick jacket! He can’t fly (
The breakfast spread is nice and sufficient. It is a lovely place.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are just lovely.

The first hotel we stayed at in Laos, and a great start to our holiday. Good rooms, an excellent swimming pool, but most of all, really friendly and helpful staff, who taught us our first few (well two) words in Lao

This hotel was a fantastic starting place for our holiday in Laos and Thailand. After a long flight from the UK via Bangkok, we were welcomed by the manager, Serge to this peaceful hotel. It is just off the main road but surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, you would not know how near you are to the busy town centre which is no more than 10 minutes away by foot - an easy, level walk. We stayed 3 nights and really appreciated the helpful and friendly staff. The room was comfortable with a balcony and the breakfast was copious and tasty. It never felt crowded and there were plenty of places to sit round the pool.
