this is the most beautiful among the many temples in Luang Prabang.
located at the end of the small peninsula, the Wat Xien Thong is a feast of colors, with some of the best mirror mosaic decoration ,typical of the city.
the Tree of life in the back side of the temple is fantastic.
the smaller chapels in the garden are delightful, the royal barge building offers the best wood carved and gold plated scenes of Ramayana, especially the one showing the goddess Sita wrapped in flames.
the most poetic detail is the blue eyed elephant head coming out from the side of Wat Xien Tong.
