“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

I was astonished to find this amazing museum with lots of information about the royals who stayed there and ruled this place. An interesting museum to take your time off from your regular schedule and dwell in the history. I was also impressed with the rooms and the picture gallery. I wish I stayed more, but I was in a hurry, and only did have the time to look the throne room properly.

“A journey back to the Kingdom of Laos”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

The Royal Palace Museum is the former residence of the last of the Lao Kings of the 20th century. The museum shows how the palace was set up and describes many of the artifacts of the different rooms. There is also some interesting history to reas d about as you go around. The grounds also contain a few of the Royal family's cars and a gallery which is currently displaying some nice Buddhist monk themed photographs. The temple in the grounds is grounds is quite lovely. Well worth the hour or so to visit.

This museums was worth a visit. It used to be the kings residence. We spent some time wandering around and looking at the exhibits that were on display and around the grounds. You can organise a guide if you want

“Under rated and amazing.”

An insight to how the King and family really lived. Well worth anyone's time to view. The throne room alone is worth the visit.

“Spent a quiet and rainy afternoon in the palace”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

It's raining and we spent a quiet afternoon in the palace to learn more about the history of Luang Prabang. All the exhibits are living history of the glory past of LP and it makes reflect more deeply and calmly of human history.
