Overall disappinted with our stay. Location is terrible, at least ten minute drive from centre. The hotel offers free bus but it is unreliable at pick ups. It might arrive it might not. No WIFI in hotel and you must pay for a slow connection at reception. For the price you pay for hotel i think WIFI should be available or at least cheaper & faster access. Internet access is far cheaper in centre. The room offered mini bar but our fridge was empty. Staff were ok but i have met alot nicer and more professional staff throughout Asia. I have also stayed in far superior places with alot better value for money. I think they are far better guesthouses in the centre, which are far cheapaer and are in perfect location. It is a heritage town so standards must be adhered to. The reception firslty offered us a free airport drop off but a few hours later decided that it wasn't free and decided to charge us. Very unprofessional and rude. Overall i think there is better and i would advise people to stay in the centre which has a great atmosphere.

nine days and nights at this absolutely charming small hotel in LPB
left me wanting more. grounds are beautiful and well-maintained; facilities are more than adequate for sight-seers and those that wish to get away alike, location on the river is breathtaking, rooms are clean and spacious, bathrooms function well and have all the basic amenities, food, a combination of lao, french, thai, and chinese, was always interesting and freshly prepared, but the best was the staff:
every one was truly friendly; not in the professionally trained way but clearly heartfelt; it seemed as if they were able to accommodate just about any reasonable request, cheerfully

saw one complaint on this site about lack of shade at the pool: that is why the attendant comes running with a large umbrella, or even two, if needed

this must be one of the nicest hotel experiences in SEAsia

A magnificient property bang on the Mekong. The 1st floor deluxe rooms overlooking the river are fabulous for their views. The hotel upgraded us to one of these rooms....good service, gardens, and front desk. The hotel is a bit far from town and the limitation of a few shuttle trips every day is a bit bothersome. The gardens and the corridors could be better lit.Does feel a bit eerie in the night esp if the occupancy is low.The food menu needs expanding to cover more local cuisine.I feel we did not get the best deal on the private boat trip to the caves organized by the front desk.

Overall our 2nights stay was enjoyable in Luang Prabang - an amazingly tranquil city.

Stayed hear for 4 nights peaceful staff friendly good rooms and views. Breakfast selection was poor for a hotel of this standard, dinner was good better than any of the meals I had in the town.Luang Prabang although interesting falls well short of its description as one of the worlds most beatiful cities I wonder where the investment from the world heritage is going? I can see the appeal that the night market would have to the younger set/ backpackers I found it as interesting as walking through an East Anglican car boot sale cheap trinkets and stuff which will end up in a box in the loft eventually. Don't expect the usual Asian smile hear very serious people. I went on to Vang Vieng unless you really want to visit give it a miss horrendous road journey lots of delays unhelpful and obnoixous drivers they also switch off the air conditioning and tell you its not working. Take a flight to Vientiene $78 takes 40mins

Stayed at this hotel with our friends in March 2008. The hotel is on the river and it is very relaxing sitting in the restaurant beside the river.

Hotel room was clean and the bathroom quite large with good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was really good with plenty of selections.

Swimming pool is big and very clean although it is in full sun withour much sade about. Drinks from the bar at the pool retaher expensive.

Complimentary bus from hotel to town centre and it takes abou 7 minutes drive to get there.

Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
