We were 3 friends travelling to Luang Prabang and stayed in the Junior Suite at Villa Santi. It was really a great choice. The hotel is in the best location of the town, and upon arrival we were in love with the colonial charm of the place. The staff were all really wonderful, friendly and efficient. Our room was really beautiful decorated and takes you back to a bygone era. Breakfast was really well done, we kept going back to the line to get more of the boiled rice with all the flavourful condiments as it was so delicious, but all the western items were good too. We didn't have dinner in the hotel although we had read that it was one the best places to eat in Luang Prabang, so it was a shame we didn't have time to try it.
The only grouse we had was that one night there was a wedding or something going on in the place next to the hotel (I think it is the school, and the grounds of the school was being used for an event). It was very loud ,although this was not late, but one of us was jet lagged so wanted to nap in the early evening. The noise was of course gone by about 10.00-10.30pm so if no-one was jet lagged this would not have been a problem at all.
