My room definitely needed a makeover. However, the Mojo has a really good feel to it. The staff were really good people, and good pool players! I think I paid around $15 a night so I wasn't exactly breaking the bank and it's in a great spot. I loved LP, stayed there for 5 nights and could have happily stayed there for much longer.

I have booked this GH thru agoda but was told that our booking was not accepted because owner has changed. They want us to pay again if we want to stay. We insisted not to pay twice and called agoda by ourself. The staff were not really helpful and let us stay with reluctant. The location is great but the room is old. Dirty red carpet and moulded wall in toilet. The jazz cafe was closed and no more music like before.

Booked a room here from Booking.com - pictures must have been taken when it opened as it looks nothing like the website. Paid around $19 a night for 3 nights accommodation and only stayed for one so lost a lot of money as obviously couldn't get it back. Found a place a minute's walk away for $17 a night which is amazing. Mojo was bggest waste of money ever. Room is so old, dusty red carpet, bathroom has mould and smells. Loads of ants in it on the one night I stayed. It's changing owners thankfully as needs a lot of TLC. It's in a great location, and has a wonderful jazz bar, but that's all I can say to recommend it for now. Steer clear until it's done up.

Great little place in Luang Prubang. Friendly staff, clean rooms and we loved the live music in the evenings! The only downsides were the rooms weren't cleaned daily so got a little stuffy after a few days, and there's no food served yet. I'd still recommend it to anyone going to LP!

Probably the best value in town. I looked at many budget places and they just couldn't compete with Mojo. Mojo is still new but it will soon be well known. The owner has blues music playing all day and it has a great vibe. If you want to stay somewhere that isn't like every other hostel in Asia then this place is a nice change.
The owner is super helpful and one of the friendliest! He will get you the best deal in town. An added bonus for staying here is the great deal on Mopeds! We took them to the waterfall and it was one of the best times we've had in Laos!

This place has potential but it is not quite there yet. The owner and his brother have recently come over from Changmai and took over the place formally called the Lao Moon Guesthouse and are in the process of fixing it up the way they want it. A little more time and experience under their belts and this will become a very good place. Right now, I would say Mojo 'okay' for budget travelers.

The new name, Mojo may confuse taxi drivers. Best way to find it is ask for the Aussie Sports Bar and look across road.

We had a nice large room with air con for 120000 ($15) in February. He has lesser rooms for 80000. It was nicely decorated for a budget place. It was clean but no top sheet on the beds though, only a blanket. We suggested they add a top sheet and they were able to get us extras. Bathroom/shower combo is all in one - not separated. Everything worked; air con and on-demand water heater. We didn't try the TV. Loud bars nearby boom music in the evening but it didn't prevent us from sleeping very well.

The friendly owner seems to be trying to create a backpacker rasta vibe with guitars and lounge space in the lobby and front porch. It was quite there yet - not a cozy place to hang. Often the owner was out running errands and there wasn't anyone around to ask for help.

Room Tip: All rooms are different so ask for second floor room with a window if you are willing to pay a littl...
