We did 2 trips with this company during our stay . Our first trip was the 1 day kayaking tour on the nam kon. I was to learn later that the name in lao means lazy river. I wish I knew it before, because the river fits its name and is a little boring. The nature around the area and some of the views were nice. We also visited the tad se water fall on this trip, water fall was interesting, but a little too built up around it. There are several things to do at the water fall. Ride elephants, swim, hike, eat at the restaurant. We hiked around into the jungle. There are many trails and we went until we saw signs that the land was part of a private elephant park , so we turned back. It would have been nice to have a trail map so we would have known how far we could go. Trail was cool, and the water was clear. We saw many small fish. Next was lunch. It was good , with plenty of food.
okay the bad ,up to this point some of the comunication with the guides was lacking. It seemed our guides were new to this trip too. One of the other guests asked if thers was a place to change at the river she was told there was and when we arrived there was not. Number 2 , we passed a village we were supposed to stop at. Number 3 , we also make a stop at Henry mahout grave, well the guides did not know where it was. We stopped first at the wrong spot. Only after asking around did the guides figure out where it was. So I cant say it was the best trip but it was okay. Guides were friendly and accommodating. But lacked professional ism at times.
