We stayed for three nights at Sita-Norasingh during our two month travels around SE Asia. We booked after reading the good reviews on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed.

We paid $15 a night for a twin room on the ground floor and the room itself was lovely. The single beds were large and probably the comfiest we experienced on our travels with real quilts! (Quite a novelty for us at this point). There was plenty of room to spread out and everything was spotless, including the bathroom which was large and well equipped with a good shower and plenty of hot water.

We encountered a bit of a problem in finding the property as our tuk tuk driver did not know where it was. There is a street in Luang Prabang with a similar name and he dropped us here instead which turned out to be a good 15 minute walk uphill from the actual accommodation. Just be sure you have a good idea of where you're going if you arrive by tuk yuk. We later learned the best way was to ask to be dropped at Utopia (famous bar/cafe) as it was less than a minutes walk from here.

Aside from the difficulties in initially finding the accommodation - the hotel is well situated on one of the main streets in Luang Prabang, close to loads of great bars and cafes and within easy walking distance to all the main attractions.

The owner seemed very shy, although he was very pleasant. We initially had only planned to stay for one night but extended our stay to three nights as we liked the hotel and Luang Prabang so much. We asked when we extended our stay whether we could move to a room on the first floor with a balcony and he just kind of laughed it off and said 'maybe later, maybe later' - I'm not sure whether he just didn't quite know how to tell us that it wasn't available perhaps!

He was also kind enough to give us a welcome treat when we arrived of a kind of vanilla custard and rice pudding wrapped in a banana leaf. It was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten, and I spent the rest of our travels trying to track down something similar to no avail! If anyone can tell me what it was please do! I would love to recreate it at home.

Overall we had a wonderful stay, and wouldn't hesitate to return here in the future or recommend it to other travellers.

Booked this place two days in advance and paid 150,000 a night for upstair twin room. The room was wonderful, clean, well decorated and had very comfy beds and pillows. There is a fridge and tv and the bathroom is gorgeous compared to the usual wet room affair. The staff are very helpful and pleasant and there is free coffee if you ask. It is walking distance to all the main attractions but off the busy back packer street thankfully.

The negatives are that although there is a good mosquito grill and shutters on the windows, there is no glass and hence it was a bit noisy. Initially I didnt think this would be a problem as we planned to get up early anyway but the second night was pretty sleepless thanks to a naughty dog yapping right outside for hours on end and motorbike revving which my trusty ear plugs couldnt block out.

We stay 2 nights here and it is definitely a good place to place, i like the guest house owner(bro and sis) , very helpful . Asking a simple question and they will try their very best to help out.

If u arrived in the middle of the midnight, u can just knock the door and they will open up the front door for you.(we reached around 6am and is still dawn and the inn door is closed). Very ideal place as it just right in front the Phosi-Mountain(a GREAT place to see sun set). A very nice porridge is just the same block within walking distance and a very cheap and nice LAos noodle behind it (7000 kip)- Saburo Khao-Soy. Walking distance to pub/bar.

Dont forget to book in advance(we booked via email) as i heard they only got few rooms only as this is a small inn (i think only about 6 rooms in total)

Recommended and yes, u still can find cheaper place nearby(not really recommend for backpacker as i knew its a little bit pricey) but i rather pay a little bit extra to stay here.

We stayed for five nights over Christmas in a double and twin upstairs - Rooms 1&2 both with balconies. Rooms were well appointed and clean, comfy beds and bedding, powerful shower, great value overall. For our family of four we would probably book three rooms 1,2 and 3 next time so that we could have the whole upper floor with hallway - for $56 a night, awesome value and privacy.
Mr Adisack was helpful, polite and ever present - the service was gentle rather than full on - very Laos style - but we loved this.
The only downside of sorts was the noise - it is on the road and scooters can make some racket - still we would take ear plugs and would definitely come here again.

Room Tip: Go upstairs! 1,2 or3.

We booked a twin room with a small balcony which was super clean and a good size for two people. The location was great, near the backpacker area which we preferred and around the corner from Utopia and a few small street cafes. Although the hotel was nice, we found the owner to be rather moody. Throughout our stay he was rather subdued and 'off' with us. He didn't give us much information when we asked and was overally rather disinterested. It was only until we checked out and paid the bill where he warmed up and gave us the 'welcome dessert' which I assume was supposed to be given at the beginning of the stay (which later made us ill as I presume it had expired) and showed us his holiday snaps(!) I found this to be rather unprofessional and childish. Custom usually dictates that you pay the bill at the end and if he wanted the bill paid upfront he should have just said. Slightly disappointed with our stay as it was the warm welcome we read about which attracted us to this hotel.
