“Wonderful boutique hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

Pros:
- Great staff! Right from the manager (Francis) to the chef (Roberto) to all other people - were extremely helpful. The manager would often stop-by to engage with people and help with arrangements
- Great pool and wonderful deck for breakfast or evening drink
- The restaurant has limited menu (like most others in the town) but the food is really good. Chef Roberto is very kind to customize the dishes for you. They were very helpful to make special food for my toddler son
- Good Spa. Was more expensive than the ones in the town but definitely very clean and trained staff
- Can arrange baby-sitters on demand
- Offer free tuk-tuk service to the town within a 5 min notice

Our stay good even better as we got upgraded to a suite.

Cons:
- For a hotel that is just 1.5 years old the facility could be better maintained. Still very clean and good but doesn't feel like as new as it is!

Room Tip: take rooms on the higher side - more privacy compared to the rooms around the pool.

Our first town on the first trip to Laos and could not fault Kiridara. This hotel is of the highest standard for cleanliness and service. The views are fantastic and you can spend many hours around the pool and sun deck admiring them. The service was outstanding and so friendly were all of the staff. A highly recommended stay in LP...

The Kiridara in Luang Prabang is on the more expensive side for Laos but worth every penny. Situated about 15 mins walk from the waterfront, the resort offers a complimentary tuk tuk to pick you up and drop you off when you want. They also organized a day trip for us to the Pak Ou caves and there were bikes free to use.

The rooms are beautiful and the room service was fantastic leaving little things like fruit and muffins behind. The pool area was a definite highlight providing welcome relief from the heat

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Sometimes their English is limited but they always greet you with a smile. I have to say I think the service was the best I've ever had.

I'm already planning on going back to Luang Prabang and when I do I'm definitely staying at the Kiridara

We just stayed at Kiridara for the second time, with our three kids and another couple of friends. Just like the firts time a year ago: the rooms were perfect and beautiful, the view magnificent, the SPA treatments great, but best of all the service remained the same: Fantastic!. All the staff is super friendly and always willing to help, wether if it is to take you into town in their confyTuk Tuk ( just a 5 minute drive), pick you up when you tell them or arrange tours. Our kids had a lovely time as well, they really enjoyed the nice pool, the tuk tuk rides nad the muffins left in our rooms evry afternoon!!. It was also very convenient to have our two rooms interconnected. We had a lot of space for everyone. And
Congratulations to the manager Francis and all the team! Looking forward to returning some time soon to the beautiful Luang Prabang and the fantastic Kiridara!

Kiridara is a modern, elegant new hotel. The service is really good, and thay are so helpful. We saw the monks in the morning, went to the waterfalls and to the elephant champ. They arranged transport and trips for a good price. They have free tuk tuk from the hotel to the center. It is a nice, short drive or you can walk. It is no problem that the hotel is a bit outside the center, and you get a beautiful view from the hotel. Transport back to the hotel in the night is very cheap and its easy to find a tuk tuk. We went to the nightmarket every night. Here you can try different type of food and buy clothes, souvenirs. They do not speak good english in laos, but we were able to communicate anyway. I loved the cute, cosy winebar (s) in the center. We ate a lot of Laos food, very good. The breakfast in the hotel is good and presented in a delicate way. You can choose pancake, waffels, eggs (in different ways), fresh juice.

And the SPA! What an experiense. We took a foot massage in the center (recommanded by loney planet) and we were so disappointed. So we decied to try the spa in the hotel, it is more expensive, but compared to cambodia and thailand it is a good price. We good a 3 hour couple treatment. First sauna, shower, body scrub and massage. Love it!! Too bad we did it the last day!

I will reccomand this hotel to families, couples and people looking for a nice hotel, good service and food.

In my opinion one of the best properties in Luang Prabang. This property is the most family friendly (in my mind). Will be a year old in June 2013. Boutique 4* resort. Free wifi. Kiridara have the option of Interconnecting with their Superior and Deluxe rooms. This allows the rooms to be extremely spacious for families, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, 2 bedrooms & 1 sitting area.

Kiridara has spectacular views from the mountains edge. With a fantastic restaurant, pool and pool bar (serving all day snacks, sandwiches, burgers etc).

For elderly people, must request a room on the bottom floor as there is a vast amount of stairs. But this was the case for many properties in Luang Prabang.

All rooms are modern, clean and brand new. All with fantastic views and large bathrooms.

I this this property is the most universal property in Luang Prabang! Can't fault this hotel at all, and I will definitely return!!

We stayed with our 2 teenage children at Kiridara in August.
On arrival we were whisked a short distance from the airport in the hotel
shuttle to be greeted by Francis (Manager). I had expected a
larger hotel but it was quite discreet set in the hillside.
The design is modern and comfortable and decorated with the
most beautiful Lao textiles.
We stayed for six nights so had time to relax by the pool and enjoy very
excellent spa treatments. Refreshing bael tea was served to us by the spa staff
after each gym workout!
The staff at the hotel are calm, friendly and efficient.
The hotel staff booked a car for our trip to the lovely waterfalls close to
Luang Prabang, a relaxing trip on the Mekong River, cooking courses and textile courses.
There was a hotel tuk-tuk and bicycles which we rode into town many times.
The food and drinks were delicious in the restaurants and by the pool.
A wonderful retreat.
