“Terrible Laos coffee”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Nice little spot but awful Laos style coffee. And coffee mate instead of milk! i guess in the tradition of French cafes making terrible coffee it's authentic.
The fries were tasty though. Overpriced. Fast wifi .

“Touch of class”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

Went here for breakfast and it was great. Warm delicious croissants and excellent service. A bit more pricey than other places but the quality is there for all to see.

“Sooooooo good!”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

I went here twice for breakfast and got the 'all out' special' (I can't remember what it was called), which included yummy bacon, eggs, hot (key - this is the only place that warmed their croissants and bread) bread and croissant basket, fresh jam, butter, orange juice, and coffee (or latte). For the quality and atmosphere it was worth the $8-9 USD. I never got the wi-fi to work on either visit, but the service and ambiance were wonderful. I only wished I had more time and a bigger appetite to visit again for dinner one night! I walked past this place many times and it was always busy with happily eating guests. Definitely a must visit (although not for someone on a tight budget).

“Best cafe-restaurant in LP”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Like Luang Prabang, this is a gorgeous blend of the indigenous and the colonial. Classic staples of French brasseries are executed very well and the Lao soups are superb. Highly recommended for those who can't decide if they want Western or Lao food, and also for coffee. Although not expensive, it's more for flashpackers than backpackers.
