Peaceful hotel with open air breakfast area overlooking green pond. Located 2km from town, an easy 30 minute walk. There were free bicycles to take anywhere, and a free one-way tuk-tuk ride to town. Negotiating a return tuk tuk ride was challenging and fun (try to pay 15,000 kip, we got close but never succeeded.) The owners and staff could not have been more eager to make our stay comfortable or help us find the various sights in town. The rooms were well furnished, the bed comfortable, the towels clean. When an ATM machine ate my debit card, they provided a free tuktuk to the bank office to retrieve it. Internet and wifi available free; wifi largely in breakfast area.

The people here were lovely! And it was nice to be a little bit out of town (away from the noise and great excuse to walk in!).
The staff always made sure we were comfortable, serviced the rooms each day and cooked a delicious breakfast.
The free tuk tuk into town was just an added bonus.
Well worth the money.

A friend and I stayed here to relax for a few nights in beautiful Luang Prabang and we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed into the hotel as soon as we arrived. The staff were so hospitable, and helped us with organising transport and with any questions we had during our stay. Although it is about 2km out of town, the 30 min walk was easy and did us well as we overindulged so much at the night markets. Our breakfast was included and consisted of tea, coffee, juice, fruit, eggs, and pancakes. Our room was nicely furnished with separate toilet and bath, flat screen tv, comfy beds, and we were given water each day when they were cleaned. WiFi worked best in the breakfast area. The service was amazing, the staff could not have done more!

We spent three nights at Vangsavath Hotel and the overall experience was beyond all expectations. The family who owned the hotel are so helpful and caring and gave us all the tricks to having a great stay in Luang Prabang. The breakfast (Pancakes) were amazing and the service was incredible! I would recommend anyone thinking of visiting Laos should visit Luang Prabang and stay here!

We spent 3 nights in this hotel.
The service was beyond our expectations.  It is owned by a local family and they went beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay was pleasant. Including being very responsive to any requests.  The hotel is less than 3 km from the city center so we felt close enough and yet far enough to hear no noise at night.  The rooms were clean, spacious; they have a refrigerator and cable tv.

This hotel was in a fantastic location with free bikes for trips to town and staff that could not do enough to help. The room was gorgeous with a wonderful bath to soak in after an elephant ride. Breakfast was excellent and access to internet good. People who want to experience Laos and its hospitality should come here.
