The hotel grounds are stunning with lily pod-filled waters. William, the front desk guy, is great. So helpful and kind! The location is a little out of town but not an inconvenience as there are free bikes and cheap tuk tusk everywhere. I actually preferred the escape! My only set back is the fairly basic rooms...but for the great price and breakfast, it is worth it. I want to mention the lovely concrete showers!

Picturesque little boutique hotel, with all the necessary amenities, that made us feel like we were in the countryside, even though we really weren't! The staff made this hotel very special - they were so friendly, hospitable and ready to accommodate our every need. We're vegetarian, and they went out of their way to make sure that we were catered for. Their vegetable fried rice was the best we've ever had!

Stayed here for 3 days while doing some work in Luang Prabang - beautiful little hotel with very friendly staff. Had 2 massages from their in-house masseuse for some neck pain, and it was fantastic. The food is average, but there are so many different places to eat at around Luang Prabang anyway. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and thought it was brilliant. It is five minutes walk from the night market so nice and quiet but also within easy distance of everything Luang Prabang has to offer.

The rooms are spacious and the shower good by S.E. Asian standards. Breakfast was pleasent enough eggs and bacon, baguette and fruit (served nice and cool)

The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. After heavy rain our room developed a leak the staff helped us to move to another room very quickly.

The only downside is the chickens! There are a family of hens kept next to the hotel and they are pretty noisey from early in the morning say 7ish. This wasn't too bad but if you are a light sleeper or like a lie in it might not be ideal.

All in all a great hotel that we would recommend to anyone travelling to Luang Prabang (obviously with the Chickens disclaimer).

Thank you for your nice review. It was a pleasure to welcome you at Maison Dalabua.
The liking problem has been solved, and we thank you again for your understanding after this heavy rain.
For our neighbor chicken hen, this is more difficult to solve, as it is a private property, and we tried several time to speak with them about this issue. But this situation will be found everywhere in Luang Prabang, and I hope than, like you, our guest will take it as part of Luang Prabang picturesque.

My daughters and I spent 4 nights here and were really impressed. We loved the peaceful setting and the large ponds resplendent with water lilies. The staff were very welcoming and the service professional. They even went to the extra effort of retrieving my left-behind hat. Toune and William were very informative and it was good to hear how they like to support the local artisans by using their products in the hotel. The rooms were large, well equipped and nicely decorated. We availed ourselves of the free bikes to explore the town and returning to the complex felt a step into tranquility. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the town and the night market is very accessible.

Room tip: Room overlooking the ponds provide pretty views, balcony and plenty of light
