This hotel has the best location, quiet & tranquil right on the Nam khan river. On their terrace you can read a book ,zip a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Rooms are very cozy and well decorated.
The manager and the staff are so friendly and helpful and they all speak good english. They can arrange excursions for you , anything you need.
This is the 3rd time I stay here and I will come back .

My stay at Luang Prabang has definitely been made more memorable with the stay at Villa Deux Rivière . I would highly recommend Luang Prabang to everyone looking for a break away from the city and Villa Deux Rivière is an excellent accommodation choice.

This is a lovely hotel in a great position by the river in a quiet area of Luang Prebang. The breakfasts were superb although the staff were almost too attentive and sometimes it did feel rather rushed. The room was small but for a short stay more than adequate and the bathroom beautiful with a shower you didn't want to get out of. The owner/manager is more than happy to help and the staff very friendly. The only downside was the noise from other guests, the cleaners in the early mornings and cigarette smoke did get into the rooms from the corridors. However, I would highly recommend a stay here.

As a family of 4 (using 2 rooms over 5 nights in total over 2 seperate visits) ,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is boutique sized with an intimate atmosphere and very helpful staff-senior staff speak excellent english (including the dutch manager). The location is great-not smack bang in the busiest part of the old town peninsula but at its northern end with a short relaxing walk to everything you may have gone to LP to find.Hence also not noisy and this location on the Khan river has a relaxed feel and with less expensive dining than the most central areas.
Rooms are very comfortable, although I agree there is slightly less room for larger luggage.Wifi worked well in all 4 rooms we occupied collectively over our 2 stays and showers good (occasionally cooler later at night).
Breakfasts are great-abundant and the french influence (chocolate croissants!!) much appreciated if you have spent some time in rural laos and long for something a little more european.

This new hotel is slightly off the beaten path -- which is exactly what makes it a nice place to stay. It's located near the quiet river and just a block off the main street where you'll find shops, monks, and some of the last Lao residents of this ever-changing peninsula. Luang Prebang is a walker's paradise ... lots of little streets, alleyways, and hills to explore.

The rooms were well appointed, yet cramped. We stayed in a double and could barely avoid bumping into each other except when we were in bed. The luggage rack, for example, is in the bathroom, because of the lack of space. Fortunately, this city is so terrific you probably won't spend too much time in the room.

The Dutch innkeeper, Chris, was helpful in giving us his take on the city. Breakfasts were deliscious, though we had to wait for a table because, alas, the dining area also is cramped.
