We arrived here after a couple of weeks of hard travelling and ready for a little luxury - and were so delighted to find such an exquisite room and such great service. As others have said, this really is an oasis and it's a pleasure in such a beautiful town, to be staying in such a beautiful hotel. The hotel is new but in a lovely French colonial style. The staff were so kind and charming too, and always ready to be helpful and welcoming. To get across the river to the peninsula where the old centre of Luang Prabang is located, the hotel has a little boat - you wind down the steps to the boat, where the boatman ferries you across (takes only a minute) and then you climb up the other side. At night it's lovely looking up the river at the lights and it's a neat little adventure in the daytime. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.

This is a great little hotel - it may not be for those who like grand hotels or all conveniences, but it's peaceful, charming, well-run and well-located. Be aware that to get to the town you have to take a boat, but this is available at all times and takes less than a minute to get across the river. It's laid on by the hotel and it's free and can be called easily. There are steps on either side so it's not suitable for those with mobility issues. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed and the breakfast was excellent. Lastly, Mr Han and his team are always there to help and cannot do enough to make your stay a success.

Would be hard pressed to find any fault with this place. Note other reviewers comments but have to say that the four nights we stayed here didn't even notice the absence of a television, infact it was a relief. The boat service taking us across the river was always ready to take us there. Lovely to have breakfast cooked to order for a change. Mr Han and the team thank you very much for a super stay at this wonderful stay.

Room tip: Room 1 has a beautiful river view.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. We didn't know what to expect when we arrived in Luang Prabang and were a little surprised when we pulled up to the hotel because it located on a quiet, residential street, but we can't say enough good things about this place.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a great balcony. There is also a nice pool to lay out by and we thought the restaurant was great for breakfast, especially since it was included with our stay. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Mr. Han was the best host, giving us recommendations and making sure we were always taken care of.

The hotel is across the river from the main downtown area but we liked being on the other side. The hotel has a boat that will take you back and forth whenever you'd like and there was also a bamboo bridge you could also walk across.
