The food at Apsara is very very good--great blend of French and Lao flavors, done expertly. I still think about their taste of Luang Prabang saucisse platter, as that is a must-try! Their yellow curry was really good too, not too heavy and packed with delicious local veggies.

One of the best. Great tasting. Good value servings, better than other restaurants in Luang Prabang. Has a good outlook over the river with good service. Will come back for another meal.

We had a lovely evening at Apsara, with excellent service and a beautiful setting. We shared the smoked fish in betel leaves appetizer (super tasty), and had the buffalo cheek and fillet entrees. They were both excellent, though I think the buffalo cheeks were the winner! Great sauce, and perfectly paired with a cabbage salad.

Be sure to try their buffalo cheeks, mushroom salads and the fish stuffed in lemongrass and herbs with tamerine sauce! Nice ambiance too!

Walking around Luang Prabang, my wife and I loved the position and the atmosphere of this pretty restaurant overlooking the Nam Khan river. Once inside we were welcomed by very nice and attentive staff. The food was very good as we went for a Laotian mixed meat starter (never new they do such good sausages!) followed by a delicious duck served with a tantalising papaya salad that was a perfect match. All presented beautifully. We wrap it up with a surprisingly good tapioca pudding and strong Laos coffee served in a traditional Italian coffee making machine (Bialetti if you care to know...). Certainly one of the best dinner during our Indochina trip.
