“Nice view for a cold drink”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013

We stopped here far a drink one afternoon. It was a nice easy spot for us and we saw a couple people we recognized from the plane coming into LP so we shared a table and an afternoon with them. We tried the food, but it wasn't great, I'd suggest just grabbing a snack here, enjoying a cold beer, and going somewhere else for lunch.

“Never again”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

We stopped here for a light lunch because the shady location on the bank of the Mekong appealed on a hot day. And it was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view under the huge tree which provided relief from the heat of the day.

Maybe I didn't make the best choice at this restaurant, but I ordered the Luang Prabang salad. I have had 4 Luang Prabang salads in 4 days, each at a different restaurant and while the interpretations varied, quality was not an issue except here. This was the only bad one. The salad was served in a little bowl, expensive at 30,000 Kip, and the first thing I noticed was the thick grey edges around the pale egg yoke in the egg wedges on top of the salad. Further though the salad thick stems of water cress had been left sitting in water too long and had sprouted new roots.

My friend had fresh spring rolls which were on the small size, but acceptable.

“Top Spot for Lunch on the River”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

This is a great spot for lunch on the Mekong River. Nice shady seating, good view of the boats going about. Lao Pale and Dark, and glasses come from the fridge.

We had the mixed (fresh and fried) spring roll combo and the riverweed with sesame (which came with a great tasting relish accompaniment). Both were excellent.

Has an wide-ranging menu (Western, Korean, Laos and Japanese).

“Nice gallery inside restaurant, food nothing special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Went there for lunch. Ordered 2 iced lattes and 2 noodle soup for 100k kip, which I think is to much for the quality delivered.

Although only 3 other tables were taken it first took almost 20 minutes to make 2 iced lattes. Another 20 minutes later came the 2 noodle soup, which were ok but nothing special. We ordered a third iced latte but that one never arrived, after about 30 minutes waiting with a clearly finishes table but no service we went inside to pay the bill.

The gallery inside the cafe is very nice.
