A cozy little place with regular rooms and bugalows. After staying in both, the regular rooms actually seemed bigger and nicer dispite beeing cheaper. Our room even had a view of the river, something our bungalow didn't. Great breakfast with a view of the river. Very friendly and helpful staff that let us postpone checkout a few hours. Only concern is the distance from the city center. Compensated by frequent shuttle busses.

Dear jonasmn1,

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing with the world your experience at Le Bel Air. Your feedback is invaluable to everyone. Regarding our selection of rooms I think it really all comes down to tastes and needs. Our bungalows are quite popular for those seeking a bit more privacy and enjoy a more exclusive location. As you say, our Deluxe rooms are very well fitted, and for us have been the perfect solution for families with small children since they have both a queen sized bed and one twin bed. And, about our distance from town, this is again a matter of preference since Luang Prabang has grown to be a busier place than let's say 5 years ago. Many guests report that they enjoy getting out of town as much as they like spending time in town. We hope our free bicycles and shuttle service make it simple and convenient to get around. Thank you again for your very kind review. All the very best to you on your travels.

Best regards,

Jean Paul

When we checked in we were greated by the manager John Paul, he was very helpful. After finding we had inadvertantly booked a twin share room, we were upgraded for free to a great bungalow. A good breakfast selection of fresh fruits & we loved the "Le Bel Air" yogurt.
. We were very impressed with John Pauls offer to help out anywhere in Laos via phone or email ,after we checked out.

Room Tip: Slightly out of the main town area, but a 2 minute walk across the bridge (Pedestrians and motor bikes only) and a tuk tuk ride into town is only a few dollars.

Dear Bryce 1966,

Thank you for your kind review and for your very nice words about myself. I very much appreciate them. Yes, I care about all our guests before they arrive, while they are here and after they have left us as well. If it is possible to help a guest after they have moved on from Le Bel Air it would be my pleasure. I know that if someone were there for me in such a way I would be very grateful. And yes sir, our yogurt is made fresh weekly and is quite the star on our breakfast buffet. It is great with the fresh fruit we offer and our variety cereals. Thank you again for sharing your experience at Le Bel Air with the world. Wherever your travels have taken you we wish you the very best of times.

Kind regards,

Jean Paul

This hotel was awesome. We stayed at a bungalow and we could not believe the size and good vibe of the whole room. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town centre, but they have bikes you can take for free, and the walk is very interesting since you have to go through an incredible bridge to get to town. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time in Luang prabang. The food is very good and the staff was very nice as well.

Room Tip: Get a bungalow!

Dear Gustavo M,

Thank you so much for your very kind review of Le Bel Air. Yes, sir, our bungalows are an excellent size for the rates we offer and certainly with respect to the way they are fitted. Some people however prefer our deluxe rooms because they are also very well fitted and very comfortable for the price. Whatever the preference I'm pretty sure Le Bel Air can accommodate it. And yes, if it is relaxation guests are looking for Le Bel Air is the ideal place. Our distance from town is now one of our greatest selling points and promises great sleeps and real peace and quiet. Thank you again for your kind words. It was a pleasure to meet you and to serve you.

The location is great, not in town, but with the free use of the hotel bikes, free shuttle runs or a ten minute walk, you can be. On the banks of the Nam Khan, beneath the old wooden bridge, you can sit on your verandah and let the world go by.
The rooms are beautiful and well designed, the bathroom fabulous.
Super place, amazingly friendly staff and a great breakfast. The honey is fabulous and the hotel's yogurt with fresh fruit is delicious.
A terrific place.

We spent 5 nights at the Le Bel Air Boutique and we could have stayed longer. It is a little bit outside the city centre of Luang Prabang but the walk bridge makes it easy and is also safe, though it looks otherwise.

The general manager JP and his team do a great job with every person that stays at this little gem of a hotel and deserve all the commendations they receive on this site. We hired a scooter to help us get around and when it failed to start the hotel got us another scooter ASAP and away we went again.

Breakfast was good and the bungalow room was great and a large size to which was very nice.

If I ever go back to LP again I will be staying here again.

Dear H0bbits_travels,

Thank you for staying with us at Le Bel Air and thank you for your very kind review. It was very nice to meet you and to serve you. And thanks for the personal mention. It is very kind of you. Yes, as you say, renting scooters is just one of the many services we offer. They are a great way to get around town and the very best way to explore the country side. I highly recommend them for those who know how to ride. Thank you again for sharing your experience at Le Bel Air with the world. Wherever your travels are taking you everyone at Le Bel Air wishes you the best of health, happiness, and good times.
