“Great hotel in convenient location”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

Really great hotel close to the night market. Corridors and room decor is just fabulous!
Breakfast food selection could have been better, but it's just a minor thing.
Overall, excellent value for the money.

We had a ? suite on the ground floor which was extremely dark inside and we needed to have the lights on all the time. Bed was the hardest I have ever slept on and the towels looked like they had seen better days. Breakfast was adequate but not much choice. Handy to alms giving and night markets.

We stayed for two nights in mid February. We had booked a junior suite which was downstairs and rather dark so upgraded to an upstairs suite with a balcony. That suite was not available for night two but we were moved to another equally opulent one but without the balcony. The decor is fabulous and of the country. The location between the two markets and across from the museum is perfect. I am surprised this hotel isn't higher up in the Trip Advisor rating list.

120$ Suite, breakfast incl.
Beautiful old Hotel with a few big rooms (used by the prince before 1973) that have been decorated with great care. The beds are big, the bathrooms even bigger, holding a yakuzee (didn't work when we were there). The hotel is 50m off the main street and we did not hear much noise in the morning. As typical for the inconstancy of Lao service there is one incredibly helpful receptionist and one that is sleeping all the time and simply doesn't do what you ask for if you don't stand beside him
all the time. Breakfast was a small buffet with choice of eggs, nothing special but ok. Massage service was good quality but also highly priced for Luang Prabang. Just take care they don't fill the massage room with toilet spray before you go in, otherwise you and the massage team will be either choking or standing outside for half an hour waiting for the awful smell to subside...

We stayed there in august 2011 and we would like to recommend this hotel to everybody. It is in the centre of this relaxed and lovely town, few steps far from the Royal Palace Museum.
The hotel is decorated in typical laotian style, the staff is very kind and you feel an extraordinary sense of relax.
The room was clean and nice, but not so large. Breakfast good and served in the nice restaurant close to the garden.
The only negative aspect is the price, a bit expensive. In Luang Prabang there are a lot of hotels and b&b so maybe for the same price, or even less, you can find something better.

This hotel is in a very pristine location and will allow to experience some of the local flair of Laos and the Lao people, as it is close to both the morning and night markets. The hotel is newly remodeled and wonderfully staffed; this together offers a pleasant experience. It should be noted, however, that due to the hotel's prime location, it is in a heavily trafficked area which can make things difficult for light sleepers due to the noises from motor-vehicles. Don't let this dissuade you though, the hotel's positives far outweigh its negatives and its location gives guest easy access to Luang Prabrang hot spots.
