I visited the Karachi Zoo after a gap of almost 25 years sometime back. It was to see the much hyped white lion.
Going back to the place was a step back into my childhood. I expected the place to be extremely rundown but found it to be better than i expected. The animal population is a bit low and the place does look old and tired but it was quite clean and tidy.
The old elephant keeper, for a small price, brought us bananas to feed the baby elephants..the lions and tigers were all trying to cope with the heat as it was extremely hot.
I wish someone would give the Zoo some attention it needs a major upgrade, being in the center of the city it can become an oasis in the chaos and cater to the entertainment needs of the people. It just needs some tender loving care
