I always stay at this property and have a good stay.I stayed on April 112013 for two nights and settled my bill through marriott usd gift card. In june
2013 the credit dept issued a collection letter to the comoany which booked my dtay even thoigh my gift card was debited in April. I tried calling the front office manager but he never called back.I had the corporate incentive dept in usa write by email to the GM of the property but to no avail or responce from his office.Very unbusiness like..

As Karachi doesn't not have many five star options to stay, Marriott Karachi is filling this gap very well. The hotel is close to many business establishments and shopping arenas. The rooms arent very spacious and need a little an up-gradation work, the internet services is not free. The service is fast in the restaurants. The hotel also has restaurants and meeting halls using the state of the art equipment and technologies. The hotels central position and close to shopping area, make it a good accommodation choice for your visit to Karachi. Enjoy the traditional Pakistani food and culture.

With all the upheaval in town just a few hours before I landed (MPA and his son were shot as they left their prayers at mosque) and the 'strike' the city was enduring as a result it was reassuring to roll through a comprehensive security process which was at least a little more than a token nod at these things. Which is a good thing and a bad thing for the traveller. Once lodged inside the place looked like a suitable setting for an Argo movie but the staff were attentive without being intrusive and they couldn't do enough to help. The real test was getting caught in traffic and being late for my check out - they were very understanding, dismissed it with a wave of the hand and were not trying to hit me up for extra fees. Very good value for money, a wireless environment that worked and dining that was cheap and tasty (I very rarely eat in but given the situation on the streets there was little choice this time).

Though its a good hotel but an area which needs much attention from management is the service turn around time at every level whether it is at the counter, restaurant or even the room service. Food is of good quality and ambiance is also fine. I used to stay at this hotel every time i visit the Karachi as its quite convenient to access all the areas from there.

Hotel is well secured but starts to get a bit tired. The service however is excellent and there are some some good restaurants in house. Good value for money. Internet is not complementary for all guests

I hate the Avari Towers and the Sheraton was not available so I tried the #3 ranked hotel in Karachi and for the most part came away very happy.
This is standard fare for a Marriott, nothing overly fancy but clean, comfortable with good food (at very reasonable prices) and reasonably spacious rooms with modern facilities. Some people do not like the inconvenience of the additional security but I personally welcome this.
The only problem is something that management could easily fix - over attentive staff looking for tips. Either pay these folks a living wage or tell them that soliciting for tips is a sackable offense. I know how to get to a room and I know how a shower works and if I don't want a turn down service its because I have learnt how to get into bed without a corner being folded for me. Absolutely everybody 'hovers' waiting for a tip and as I don't carry cash it is embarassing.
Stop it.
