We r basically foodies and both me and hubby love food. When it comes to BBQ, hubby is an expert. He loves BBQ and tried almost everywhere in karachi whether its south or north. Believe me they made best of gola kabab, malai boti, dhaga kabab, reshmi kabab u name it they have it at its best. Oh my mouth is full of water just naming them Yaaamm Yaaammm Yaamm thats the only thing that I can say. U need to taste it to believe it :)

“Best BBQ in Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

Ghaffar Kebab is located at DMCHS near Bahadurabad Karachi. Its franchise is also opened at Port Grand food street. It has veriety of BBQ dishes and almost all are great. I visit atleast once every week and try different BBQ.
The best are Chicken dhaga Kebab, Chicken reshmi kebab, Beef dhaga Kebab, Beef Gola Kebab, Turkish Kebab, Beef behari boti, Chicken Malai boti, Chicken garlic boti, Chicken boti, Behari chicken, Green chicken, Tikka and boneless BBQ fish are all my favourite. They also have choice of chapati, nan, paratha & sheermal/taftan. Halwa is available and hot gulabjamun can be had round the corner of Ghaffar kebab. The owner Shehzad and his cousins all keep strict watch for maintaining quality.
The cost of chicken dishes are nearly Rs 200/plate and beef dishes are around Rs 130/plate. It is very cheap as compared to quality. The seating area at DMCHS is just basic but service is quick, the seating is better at Port Grand franchise but the rates are almost double and service is slow.
Its a must if you are in Karachi !!!

“OLD IS GOLD”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

Ghaffar is a very old name for people who love BBQ and the stuff. We had been eating there for decades at their Dehli Mercantile Society humble outlet and enjoying their food specially, Chicken Green Masala, Fried Kebab and Nihari with hot crisp Nans. The flaky pratha is a complete meal itself.

Even our friends from Bangladesh insist going their on their every visit to Pakistan.

Their existence at Port Grand since the beginning is quite a hit. There we had their famous Nihari, Chicken Malai Boti, Reshmi Kebab and Chicken Boti on several occasions and would still prefer to eat there.

The comparision of prices between their original outlet at Dehli Mercantile Society and Port Grrand is very very obvious. A family of four can have a sumptuous dinner at the old outlet within Rs.1,000 - 1,200; whereas at Port Grand, it may cross 2,500 but you see people pay the price of ambience.

Always willing to dine at Ghaffar Kebab House.

“Good but over priced.”

The food is good. But above that I would say the brand sells. Kebabs are better than the Niharis offered though.
