When you travel alone, this place will definitely keep you alive. In fact the hotel is a hub for a lot of weddings and great selection of the restaurants. Thus Lahoris love to visit it, you will find a lot by the RR and then by the aquarium. Overall, it is quite interesting hotel! The pool and health club all are great and you will find them clean and cozy. Even if you love desi food, you may go to Bukhara where the classical dance is performed each day (Not in Ramzan and 1st Ten days of Muharram); please check this before you reach the reception of Bukhara. Otherwise, try Chilman Biryani in Dum Pukht, Marco Polo serves great continental buffets; But I also like Covo, I love its ambiance, usually not a lot of people go there. Tai Pan is good too if you like Chinese... Never been to Sakura my self, but it is a Japanese, rest all of the places are good! They hhave a small shopping complex too... But if in Lahore, I can recommend you to take a cab and go to Out Door Restaurant, its called CoCoo's Den or go to Cosa Nostra (Gulberg) for 6 course Italian Food. Rooms are great, try to upgrade for the executive room, I am sure that will be an edge, since hotel is old, the new wing has great to offer!
