Most often compared to the nearby Cuckoo's, Andaaz is a slightly different experience. Whereas Cuckoo's is more of a labour of love and a restoration project, this is a restaurant first and foremost. As a result, the quality of food available here is much better, and the service is also significantly stronger.

The steep climb notwithstanding, it is worth booking in advance to get a table outdoors with good views. Although the views are not as strong as the neighbour, they are still pretty impressive nonetheless.

The style of serving food is novel, as the staff replenishes your plates for you periodically rather than cluttering tables with platters. It is easy to over-order (and to some extent recommended as there is a lot of good stuff to try from the barbecue). Pricing is at a premium, but you are being charged for the ambience. Interior design is a bit confused, with no clear theme.

Andaaz is worth a visit for the superior food quality offered in this part of Lahore. there are decent views over the old city, and although not as characterful as its neighbour, the better food quality makes up for that.

Mediocre and overpriced food - $35/head for nothing special! Decent, nothing to rave about service. We chose this place because of the incredible view and b/c they told us they accept credit cards. What they failed to tell us that foreign credit cards fail to work regularly and provided no other options for cash (for a $1000 bill for group dinner). Never going there again!

Hi
Kindly review this -we are operating in pakistan and no restaurant in the whole country accepts any but mastercard & visa
We did our best, going to the extent of letting her pay the next day
To which she promised but than stopped taking our calls
So we sent our manager to her hotel -who found her, literally checking out
And than she paid ...
Please verify from her and remove
As in my opinion, reviews describing food, service and ambiance should be posted
We have signs posted at the entrance describing everything -can send you photo if you like
Am looking forward
Best regards
Ahmed

I must give 10/10 to service at Andaaz. The waiters are fantastic; the old traditional touch of washing the hands at the table after the meal was awesome.
The food was divine. Every entree, curry had a distinct flavour. My Favourite was .. Everything but special mention to Jheenga Harra masaala, mushroom handi and Kaju Biryani. We ordered a wide variety including daal Makhni and everything was fantastic.
I went with a large group (ten people), and even though we felt the waiter was recommending way too much food for us we went ahead with it. We took 6 containers home. Perhaps you can keep this in mind and order food that sounds enough for you.

The view in front of the Badshadi Mosk is breathtaking, the waitresses very attentive without being overbearing and the food is exceptional for a very decent price.
I've had palak paneer in many restaurants, this one is the best. But my favorite recipe is the daal makhani. It is not simple lentils, it is a very delicious creamy, especially Punjabi dish - not to be missed.
Tips:
In fall/winter (November), make sure you have a thick sweater or coat to enjoy the roof-top dining. Also stairs are steep to reach the roof (I have not noticed a handicap access).
