My partner and myself stayed at the hotel from the 25th - 28th March18, the service was excellent and the people were very friendly, we have both been to Mandalay before and stayed in other hotels but we found this hotel to be what we were looking for.

They offer free coffee, tea and other beverages available all day in the reception area, so you can relax after shopping and sightseeing.

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and the staff were on hand to take our coffee to the table for us.

From the hotel it is just a few minutes walk to the Zay Cho Markets, if you are looking to buy womens or mens sarongs then you should visit the market as they have a large range to choose from and easy walk to the hotel with all your purchases.

When we return to Mandalay we will both be staying at this hotel again, the rooms are big and well furnished with free wifi.

Room tip: We found our room to excellent so I would think that all the rooms would be the same, the rooms have double glass so there is no noise.

Great location, big rooms, bathtub, hot water, ok breakfast, fast wifi (almost streaming quality) and a great bed. Even the pillows were not to hard.

The price is a bargain for what you get.

Staff is super friendly.

Any negative? As usual in this region, windows are single glazing, so it sounded like the cars were just beside the bed, but our room was on the back, so it was not to bad at night. We slept fantastic.

Ok tv within cnn and hbo

Basic hotel close on the center. Nothing special, normal rooms that need be renovate, specially the bathroom, hot water didn't work very well. The windows are very thing so is very noisy. The staff even if smile is not very efficient. You can see them rest in the sofas at the lobby or just on the phone, english skills not very good so you have to explain more than twice some basic things like confirm a pick up. Didn't have BKFST there after see the coffee station on the lobby.
The hoytel mention a Sky Bar, that's a joke, seriously. I supposed a normal roof top with some stools and tables like in the pics, but seriously that was totally sad and depressing. Went up stairs, lights off, then a guy lay in the bar. Lights turn on, and surprise, was the laundry area. With the washing machine there. Even the view was good.
What I said, just for one night, arrive there late and check out early.

We stayed here twice, for 3 nights each time, over a period of 3 weeks, and overall were very happy with our stays.

We booked deluxe rooms and chose to have rooms at the back as they are quieter because of the street noise in the front rooms.

Speaking of which, we noticed that the windows in our rooms were not closed properly when we checked in; so if you do stay here, double check them because it’s significantly quieter when the windows are shut properly.

The beds were very comfortable, not hard like some beds in the region can be. There was a minibar and two free bottles of water per day. Some rooms have laminate floors, some have carpet, which tends to get dirty quickly given the dusty/muddy condition of the streets of Mandalay. The AC worked very well and the hotel has a back-up generator. There is an elevator, but as others have noted, you still need to climb some steps (maybe 10?) to get to it from the lobby.

The internet was generally ok, though a few times it seemed to get very slow, but if you waited 5 minutes or got out and then back in it was fine again. They have a computer you can use in the lobby and if you need something printed like I did, they had me email the document at printed it up for me at the front desk for no charge.

The bathrooms were a good size, clean and fairly modern, with an electrical outlet which makes it convenient to use an electric razor or a hair dryer - this was missing in many of the other hotels we stayed at in Myanmar. Another feature they had that is often lacking in Myanmar hotels is a shower curtain, so we were happy about that too!

One reason I chose this hotel was because I wanted something fairly central, and I was pretty happy with my choice. It’s within a few minutes walk of a few decent restaurants and some of the interesting sights of Mandalay, but the city is spread out so no matter where you stay you will probably end up taking a taxi and/or hiring a driver and car for the day.

On that note the hotel provided very competitive rates and a very good driver for us to go to Sagaing/Inwa/Amarapura one day and to Pyin oo Lwin another day. His car was comfortable, clean and he wasn’t afraid to use the AC, though unfortunately, like most vehicles we were in in Mandalay, there were no seatbelts in the backseat. Fortunately he was a very safe driver and we had no mishaps caused by other less cautious drivers!

Breakfast at the hotel was ok, they cooked eggs to order, offered bacon on alternating days, had some type of fruit every day and bread/toast. They also had Asian breakfast food. The one thing that was missing was yogurt. They offer breakfast packs if you have to catch an early boat to Bagan or an early bus/train.

We used their laundry service, they charge by the item, not by weight, but the prices were not exorbitant, roughly 400-600 kyat per item, and they did a good job of it.

The two young women at the front desk with whom we interacted the most were very helpful and spoke quite good English. For our second stay we arrived very early in the morning by bus from Inle lake and the gentleman working the front desk overnight gave us a room right away, which was very much appreciated.

For the price we paid we thought it was good value, comfort and service. I recommend this hotel without hesitation, as long as you can manage a few steps to/from the elevator.

Hotel with good location and warming and friendly staff.
Hotel have elevator but to to reach it you have to beat two paths of stairs, one to the reception and another to the elevator itself, anyway if have luggage staff will help you take it until the room. Hotel itself is a bit old but the most annoying thing is that they located the laundry at top floor that works during the day, starting early morning and if you stay in the top floors as was our case, is impossible to sleep well... even after we moved to a lower floor (3rd) we still could heard the machine working and at lower floor notice the room have double layer window for better soundproofing from the street.
Staff are very helpful and can support providing many activities in the city as free cycling, renting e-bike, providing transport around the city and to Amarapura. They also helped book transportation to Bagan.

Room tip: Avoid to top floors as the laundry machine at top floor is very noisy
