This was quite an amazing pagoda and worth a visit we were fortunate enough to see a snake charmer outside which added to the experience.

This pristine group of Stupas house the world largest book some 729 marble tablets of Buddhist doctrine. The site has now been registered under the World Heritage programme and a peaceful wander through the site is pretty awe inspiring.

All writings of Buddhism in one building does not sound too impressive in the time of computers, but all written in stone, that is.

729 stones and for each and every one of them there is a small building to keep it. So the main Pagoda which is an impressive golden mount by itself is not the main attraction here.

Rows of rows of these little buildings make for a very quiet atmosphere and are a great way to show the greatness of the faith which those hold who built this. Just wander around and enjoy, the sight is simply marvellous.
