We loved this hotel. We were very dubious re some other reviews but as we were after a holiday close to the beach larger rooms and a great pool area this hotel appeared to be ideal for our family of five including a one year old.
We stayed half board on the second floor. We were initially disappointed that we didn't get a room overlooking the pool but as the room was a great size we decided to keep the room. Previous reviews stated the view was of derelict buildings this was not the case we were above one of the hotels outdoors cafés which was rather smartwith the door shut you couldn't hear any noise. Across the road were brand new apartments. It was a really nice cosmopolitan area.
Also a little further down the street was a great place called the green papaya home made burgers with chips, smoothies, crepes pizzas etc out of this world meal for four of us about £12 we used to go there if we fancied a nice lunch.
The restaurant was busy, food was great. Do think the restaurant could do with more high chairs. Try the fresh donuts for breakfast they are amazing.
We wanted to mention our waiters Naim and Hamza they were amazing they were genuinely great guys working very hard we had napkin swans, candles and flowers on the table during our stay.
The pool area is lovely easy to get a sun bed just give the man a very small tip every few days just a dinar and they'll get you as many as you want. Beats getting up at five to put out towels.
Hotel lobby lovely, bars lovely too.
Reception staff could do with being a little friendlier/ more welcoming, although we did witness a rather abusive guest shouting at them and that was handled very well.
We realised our air con wasn't working properly actually we think it hadn't been working for about a week but at first we just thought it wasn't very good. I went to the reception the lady on reception just said they'd send someone and that was it she went to see the next person. I was doubtful it would be fixed after previous reviews but I thanked her and walked off. Within the hour we had two workmen in the room in the ceiling fixing the air con there was oil all over the walls and carpet at which point I left the room an hour later we came back they had fixed the Airconditioning cleaned the carpet and even painted the wall. Never known anything like it but they had it fixed and repainted within 2 hours absolutely amazing. The maid was also wonderful and did a very good job.
All I all this holiday was less than half the price of a hotel we had stayed in previously in Tunisia but in many ways was a much better holiday.
The only negatives are very little evening entertainment, old needed replacing carpets on the landing also the landing windows were very mucky. These are just minor things and certainly did not detract from enjoyment of our holiday.
Sousse is a very interesting place, great beach and friendly people.
I think the staff and the hotel are doing a great job. We would definately come back it's not a luxury holiday just a lovely place to enjoy with your family with everything you need.

we stayed at hotel 5/10/13 20/10/13 the hotel is nice but the rooms need a lot of work, the beds are like sleeping on the floor, the air con dont work all the time, and flushing the toilets are hit and miss job.we has floods outside the room in corrider where the pipes down the wall was leaking all the time, which gave damp smell.the bar staff where rude if your all inc theygive you plastic cups and half a half glass full anyway.the food was ok but all the same all the time not very english friendly.

The plumbing problems are being fixed, as I write, old pipes replaced with new. In the restaurant as I'm sure you must realise we do have to cater for all nationalities but we always have vegetables, meat and chips which could be called english friendly.

we stayed here last year and realy enjoyed it so we returned again this year 9th oct ... It was just as good ,, The bar staff was just as good and welcome us back even remembed us which i must say shocked me as this hotel is open all year round and lots of people go there,,, If you do go here plz take in to consideration that they work very hard for very little pay .. So if you gave them a tip of 1 diner which is not a lot to us it a lot to them ,, I would say that half boards do get a better service so go half board ... The food is wide ranges ,, i don,t eat fish and there is a lot of fish dishes but there is also lots of other food there for me to chose from .. The room we had was cleaned every day with clean fresh towels (that did not smell) There was a problem with the air con at the hotel ,(but we didnt go for air con we went for a break ) The hotel is have a lot of work to it and it will all take time after all its a large hotel. last year the in door pool was having worked done too it and when we seen this this year what a fab job they have done ,, it just a pity nobody was using it ... To top it all go here with a open mind as you can not please every body all the time , but this hotel and all its staff work very very hard ,,we will be going again next year .................Go half board you will have a much better time....... see you soon ,,,

Sorry you didnt appreciate our hotel. Dogs are not allowed in our hotel grounds, early or late,
so one instance of dog poo could mean a stray dog wandered in This was quickly cleaned up and there has been no re occurence since. I dont understand what you mean about the restaurant as all clients are allowed to choose where they want to sit..

I have spoken to the bar manager and he assures me that he is available every evening if a client wishes to speak to him. Unfortunately he did not receive any of your messages.
