Me and my family Traveled on the 19th July 2013 for 2 weeks, which included 2 adults, and 3 children one 18 year old, one 15 year old and one 9 year old. When we arrived at the airport we was worried as it look 'dead', One thing i will have to say is when you step out the airport there is loads of porters which took my bag of me and carried it to the coach they were lovely men but i felt like they should of asked, after they done this they was expecting a tip and at this point we had no dina's. As soon as we got the hotel which was a 45 minute drive away the staff were helpful and made a big fuss of new people arriving. We was given our key to our room and was shown by a member of staff, he also should us how to work the air con (which was not that good and only worked if you left a key in the room, As we had a family room which means the rooms was joining we left one key in all day to hopefully make the rooms cool) The first day and evening the staff made you feel very welcoming and asks you if you want to join in the activities such as aerobics, darts, archery, mini golf and water sports on the beach at an extra charge. The bedrooms were cleaned daily and the maids always left petals around to make it personal. There is also a photographer (Sam) that takes photos during the day and will let you know if he has a good photo which is only 5 dinar to print!! The Kids reps Hannah and Marie were very good as my oldest at night stayed with them and made her feel very welcome. Food was a worry when we booked but turned out all of us enjoyed it and there was plenty to try from, if you become friends with some of the waiters (Haythem) they will remember your drinks and bring them to you, after they started to do this we tipped around 10 Dinar a week (£3) . The animation team never stopped, They were always around to make the holiday even better, They would come around asking for you to join in. The beach was clean and plenty of sun beds but we stayed round by the pool during our stay. As usual the Russians always wanted to push in when getting your drinks or food ect but ignore them and get on with your own thing you cant let them ruin your holiday, The shows the animation team put on at night was very funny and different every night, There was a pool party at night which anyone could join in. Also there is a club in the hotel which is a laugh to get closer to the staff and to make some holiday friends. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, As it was such a fantastic trip i am returning on 23rd October 2013 cant wait.

Hope this helps your decision to go and visit this hotel, if you want any other information just ask.

This hotel is very clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I travelled with my friend and our two sons who are both 3, some days it was difficult to find food suitable for them but on a few occasions the waiters would fetch us some jam at a lunch time. Entertainment throughout the holiday was great. The animation team are very friendly and not too pushy at all. Over all an amazing holiday and will hopefully be returning next year.

We based our decision to book this hotel on the very favourable reviews it received on tripadvisor and have to say that generally they were correct. We travelled as a couple in our fifties looking for a relaxing break in the sun and expected the hotel to be no better or worse than any you might find in Turkey, Egypt, Greece etc and this proved to be the case. Before giving our review let me say that the Thompson rep, Fiti, is one of the best we have come across in years of travel and if you decide to stay at this hotel do not hesitate going to him if you have any questions or issues - the guy is a diamond and I hope Tui realise what they have! Rather than fobbing you off or spouting a load of rubbish he deals with it immediately and certainly gives the hotel a run for their money - he works for you and your interests and no one else.

Our room was in the new part of the hotel looking onto the rear gardens and sea view if you looked to the right. The room was large with adequate wardrobe and storage space but take coat hangers with you as we only had five. There is a small fridge for keeping water etc. the hotel provide carbonated water by the bottle but you can fill your bottle with still water from the bars/restaurants but we went to the shop outside the hotel where a litre bottle of water worked out to 25p The bathroom had a bath with overhead shower and there was always hot water. There is a hairdryer that is perfectly adequate so no need to take one with you. Towels are changed daily and sheets every couple of days. My wife suffers with her back and neck and could not sleep on the very hard mattress/pillow. We mentioned this to Fiti and within ten minutes the bed was changed for one with a soft mattress and soft pillows, the cleaner even put a quilt on the mattress to make it softer. Rooms and cleaning service first class.

Beach and Pool:
The hotel is set in beautiful gardens and is spotlessly clean. There is a large sun terrace which is ideal for having a drink late afternoon/evening. We used the beach for the first few days of our holiday and had no problem finding beds etc but it seemed to us that the Russians/Germans used the beach whilst the English/Tunisians used the pool. I was stung by a jelly fish, which I think most people were, and so decided to use the pool for the rest of our two week stay. The pool is not as big as the brochure/pictures make you believe and it was pretty crowded during our stay. If you want an umbrella you need to claim your space by about 9am but if you just wanted beds there were plenty to be had all day long. The pool did get crowded especially whilst aerobics and water polo were in progress but it is big enough if, like us, you only used it to cool down. There is a bar on the beach but only the end by the water sports is all inclusive, the other end is a pay bar. You also have a restaurant/bar by the pool which is ideal for lunchtime. The hotel does not provide towels for the beach/pool so remember to take your own.

Unfortunately the restaurant lets the hotel down in a big way but is no different to many other 3* AI hotels. You are allocated a table on arrival for your evening meal. Either first sitting 6pm to 8pm or second sitting 8pm to 9.30pm. Most nights we found Tunisian families sitting at our table but the waiter would move them. However, we found this very embarrassing. The food was varied and we always found a meal but you have been warned! The restaurant is organised chaos but you get there in the end. The chefs try very hard to please everyone and you will find something to eat. We felt that the food choice and style was geared towards our Russian friends e.g. Russian Soup, Russian salad etc. etc. On that note let me say that during our two weeks we never experienced any pushing in etc from the Russian guests and found them to be very pleasant, the bigger problem were the Tunisians pushing in and taking every last bit of food in sight. Tip your waiter and he will get your drinks for you, we gave our waiter about 15 dinar a week £6.00 (Ramzi) and he was very good. If you don't want to tip then just queue for your drinks at the restaurant bar. The restaurant was let down by the standard of cleanliness of the tables and floors etc. Food preparation and serving areas were spotless but the rest was not up to scratch unfortunately. We used the poolside restaurant lunchtime and found this to be a lot better than the main restaurant with a choice of hotdogs/beefburgers etc for the kids plus fresh cooked pizza etc. Again the guy serving drinks in this bar is first class and very helpful.

Again, same as you will find in any other hotel. The animation team were fantastic and very friendly but if you did not want to join in they did not push you. We did not go down to the evening entertainment (by the pool) so I cannot comment. We sat on the terrace most evenings and played cards or relaxed. They have a local singer for the terrace entertainment, bit off-key and not very good English but all part of the atmosphere. We were very disappointed with the lack of entertainment and this tended to make the evenings drag. In fact we went to bed early most evenings. OK for us but I feel youngsters need a bit more than was on offer.

Trips/Local Area:
We went on the market/wine tasting trip - this is an absolute waste of money and overpriced and I would advise against this as you can buy things just as cheap in the local shops. The wine tasting visit to the vineyard sounded interesting but turned out to be a couple of bottles of plonk on a table for you to taste and to buy if you liked it. We also went on the half day trip to the Roman ampthietre where they filmed Gladiator and then on to the museum - very good value. There is not much outside the hotel but you can go to El Kantoui by taxi or get the noddy train. There is a lovely marina and small fun fair. We also visited the small museum in Sousse which was very interesting if you have an interest in Roman history as it has a breathtaking display of mosaics.

You do not have to tip the hotel staff if you feel you have already paid for their services but they do not earn much and tips help make up their wages. As an indication we gave our cleaner approx 10 dinar (£4.00) a week and she was worth it. Our waiter (Ramzi) we gave approx 15 dinar (£6.00) a week and tipped the bar and pool waiters the odd couple of dinars every few days. All in all tips cost approx £40.00 but worth every penny for that bit of extra service. The staff at the hotel work very hard to make sure you have a great holiday so a little acknowledgement goes a long way.

Finally do get a safety deposit box, £5.00 a week plus deposit of 30 dinar (£7.50) returnable so keep your receipt. We kept our passports and money in the safety depsoit box but often left our phones, tabs and dvd players on charge in the room with no problem. We had previously read about theft so we felt better safe than sorry.

Hope this helps but if you want any more information ask.

Room Tip: Try to get a high room, safer and better view.

Arrived at the '' Tour Khalef '' on 8th September for a one week holiday the hotel had a impresive reception area we arrived late at night we eventually found our room aithough we were not offered any assistance or direction we had a twin room which was very spacious nicely decorated and very clean, maid service every day bedding, towels etc all very satisfactory. The catering and bar service seriously let this hotel down there is no organisation in the main restaurant guests queue in every direction first you need to find a plate to select your meal ! Food selection some days bettter than others if you want toast there is butter you just need to find it ! you might have to queue for a glass if you want a drink there seems to be a shortage of cups and glasses. The hotel operate a reservation sysyem for dining tables you keep the same table for the duration of your holiday unfortunately it doesn't seem to work very well.
After your meal you might enjoy a drink in the bar if you can get served and when you get to the front of the queue they have run out of glasses again.
The pool area is very good plenty of sun beds no need for guests to get up early to receive their sun lounger there are plenty for everyone. Probably one visit is enough.

We flew from Bournemouth on a Thomson flight, and had booked a package with Thomson that included transfers and all Inclusive at the hotel.

On the plane you will be given an immigration card for each member of your family – you will need this for going in and coming out of Tunisia – however if you lost it you can re fill it in but you will be sent to the back of the queue.
We loved Enfidha, it’s a modern airport and very efficient. We were pleasantly surprised.
We went through immigration without issue and no queuing. On return journey we did queue but it wasn’t for long.
Duty free is limited there’s a few shops and eateries etc and very clean WC’s
The banks where shut when we came through so we couldn’t get any Tunisian money (Dinar) you are not allowed to bring Dinar in to Tunisia or take it out with you so keep all your receipts.
Found our rep and got directions to the coach transfer.
Due to the bank being shut we couldn’t change any money, and you will be pounced on by the locals to carry your case to your coach – which is at max a 5 min walk. And they will be expecting a tip – so make sure you have either some pound coins or that you have small notes from the bank.

The hotel is clean and well kept, check-in was efficient and we were taken to our room we overlooked the gardens and pool.
We changed money here - however they would not change it back when we left we had to do this at the airport and remember your receipts or you can’t change it back to Pounds!
We also got a safe deposit box, this cost us £20 deposit and about £10 for the week. Good value I thought and the box was big enough to fit my Samsung 10” tablet and passports etc.
The reception area was nice and the staff very helpful, I forgot my phone charger (don’t ask!) and they charged if for me everynight!
The areas around reception are nice areas to sit and have a drink in – there is a small bar and you can use the water machine to fill up your bottles.
This area also leads out to the lovely terraced area which overlooks the pool and gardens.. Just right for a sundowner or two..
Nice comfy rattan seats and tables and a small bar area – recommend the G& T and the cocktails!

We were on the same floor as reception but the hotel is split level so we had to go down two floors to ground level for pool and gardens. There is a lift.
Our room was lovely and clean and spacious. We had two beds that the maid together for us to make a king size.
We had clean sheets every couple of days.
We had a large dressing table with mirror over and flat screen TV. There was a small refrigerator underneath.
There was a suitcase unit and we had two sitting chairs and a small table in the room.
Plenty of plug sockets.
The balcony had two chairs and a table.
We had aircon and this was good but could of done with a bit cooler and adjusting it didn’t do anything.
The bathroom was clean and we had a shower over bath, the shower was powerful and there was always lots of hot water.
There was a sink and we had complimentary toiletries.
There is a tubey hairdryer and also a socket for an electric razor.
We had clean Towels every day – though we didn’t expect this

We never had a problem getting a sunbed or a parasol – but we did see people getting up
bloomin early to get their pitch!
Pool does get busy, we travelled with no kids and being grumpy old people it was annoying not being able to get into the pool with out 4 killer whales, 5 dolphins 2 alligators and various other types of blow up floaty things and also all the kids getting in your way!
So don’t expect to be able to do lengths or any kind of swimming you can dip and that’s it!
The pool bar was lovely, fresh food and cool drinks, and clean and tidy. We ate there most lunchtimes as it was so nice.
You don’t get Towels as part of All inclusive so need to bring them

We went down to the beach which is a very short walk too, it has lovely fine, but could do with being cleaned lots of fag butts etc.. but there are lots of sunbeds and fixed parasols ..the height of the parasols varies from low to high - so watch your head!
The water is lovely and warm and the water is very shallow and clear.
There is a beach bar and your All inc is covered here.

Food and Drink

You get allocated a time to dine and a table. We asked to move to the later dining time as it was to early for us. Our table was fine as was our waiter.
The food, well I never went hungry, but did have some strange combos!...

Cereals, milk, yoghurts (fruit and Natural) fruit, Meats and cheeses, lots of cakes and Danish’s, lots of bread. Fresh cooked eggs in front of you, and scrummy pancake’s and doughnuts freshly prepared in front of you. Also omelettes, cooked tomato’s, sliced potato’s and some vegetables. Fruit juices to drink, as well as water and Tea and coffee. Honey and jams.

Lots of salad, Lettuce, White and Red Cabbage, tomatos, a potoato choice, pastas and rices, fish and meat. There is always something being cooked in front of you – this changes every meal time.
Theres a fresh pasta and pizza section
Breads etc
Fresh fruit and cakes.

Always something being cooked on the grills, either fish or meat, there was always chips, and maybe another potato dish, lots of veg, pastas and rice and traditional Tunisian dish.
Lots of salads, these include mixed salads that where tasty.
The pasta and pizza section was available as well.
Breads etc..
There is a desserts section with fresh fruit.

Drinks in the Restaurant

Theres a small area where you queue for drinks. However your waiter will get them for you.
But tip!

Well sorry to say we didn’t ever go down to the pool bar in the evening so didn’t see any entertainment.

Communal areas

The gardens where well-tended and the pool areas kept clean.

The staff work hard in this hotel and we had good service from every person we dealt with.

We had a lovely holiday in Tunisia and we really liked this hotel.
We didn’t venture out of the resort so can’t comment on Sousse or the surrounding area.
We didn’t do any trips as this was purely a relaxing break for us.
You need to have a water bottle to top up from the water machines that are located around the hotel.
There are a couple of shops, we didn’t use these as we had all we needed.
Remember this culture relies on tipping, and you do get a better service if you tip.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the gardens. Bring a water bottle to top up from the water machines. Br...

Ive just got home after spending a week here 8th-15th sept with my friend! 2 24yr old girls.

brilliant hotel, arrived around midday and was greeted by a lovely chap who asked us to fill in a visitor to Tunisia form upon arrival.

Check in - pleasant reception staff with good english. Next to check in is where you can change your money. TIP...... id change a small amount of English money at a time.

Room- twin bed room. 2 single beds. Big spacious room. With air conditioning that worked!!
massive bathroom with bath/shower. Huge mirror, hair dryer.

balcony- looking out on to the terrace and sea view to the left. Just wonderfull to wake up to!
Overall a lovely room with good views. Room 3309

pool- lots of sunbeds. , ignore the reviews about no sunbeds if u dont put towels down first thing. We didnt do it once and got a sunbed everyday. Very pleasant life guards who are more than happy to get you a free mattress for ur sunbed and table or parasol if u require them. Dont be scared if they approach you straight away they are just there to help and very nice.

Pool bar offers breakfast and dinner. Food is lovely if ur not too fussy like me! Drinks on tap if ur all inclusive!

Food- lots of choice and great for kids. Like I said im fussy so didn't eat much.

Animation team- brilliant underpaid men!
Always happy and there English is great.
Daily activities include- water aerobics, water polo, archery, french bowls, yogo, mini golf, darts and lots more.
On average they earn 250 English pounds a month and they work pretty much all day from 9am-midnight. So when they ask you to buy there animation dvd or t-shirt for 25 dinar say yes!!!
Chico, anis and one I can't remember his name(but he has my camera charger!!!) are brilliant with adults and kids. Not bad to look at either!

Money- 1 dinar =0.40p
10 dinar = £4.00

1 pack of cigarettes = 3-5 dinar if your not bothered about what u smoke
English cigarettes are best to buy on the plane on the way or in the airport when u get there.
200 english royal cigarettes cost me 10 dinar!! £4.00 bargain!

If you really dont like the food there is a nice burger place as you come out the complex turn right and its about 100m up the road.on the right. By the pizza place and shop.

Overall id love to go back.
