We booked this hotel at fairly short notice, we got a good price and expected a cheap n cheerful week. We were also prepared for hit and miss on the weather fornt.
All in all we could always find something to eat although we found it to be very repetattive. The Tunisian stews were really nice. Service in the restaurant was good and it was nice to have the same table for throughout the stay.
The drinks were a bit limited and the cocktails were vile as was the white wine but that's just our opinion of course. The gym was okay and we managed a decent work out a few times during our stay.
We ventured outside the hotel and the road was very busy indeed. Some of the streets were dirty and full of rubbish. However we did find a decent small shopping centre which we bought some great tops from at a good price.
I must mention Timo who provided many a good laugh at the archery sessions, he is such a cheat and made us all laugh. Overall a pleasant week but probably won't return again to Tunisia. Hope this helps...

Room Tip: Beach view and sea view rooms at the front of the hotel.

hotel: In general all hotelslobby in Sousse looks nice. Base for foods, servce and room size and cleaning level.

Room: WE think we make a good choice. after a few email exchange explain is my hubby 60th birthday the hotel free upgrade the deluxe room for us, huge size of room, good seaview and quiet. I would say even you only get the standard room seems the size reasonable and we all get the same seaview.

Clean: the hotel quite clean and the housekeeper working very hard to ensure everywhere is clean.

Staffs: all staffs are freindly not because they need your tips at least I don't feel they try to force you(standing waitng for tip that kind of acting) We both are quiet couple may not to reach the animators so they are always not really pay attention to us, fair enough!

Show time: every night arrange different show, mostly quite good, no complaint at all.

Foods: very average, we staill have mussell and prawn for 1 night, one night play live music in the restaurant, very relaxing

Drinks: as all inclusive deal, to be fair I don't think hotel offer a very cheap wine, a lots of choices, I could see some guests stay most of the time in the bar.

Location: so far so good

Beach: lovely golden sand beach, I love it

Facilities: Good Gym, wonderful indoor swimming, Good massage(at least try one booking) big steam room etc............

in general I would recommend any people to stay in this hotel for your first time visit Sousse, afterall you can make your own choice next time.

Room Tip: high floor, even you can't get the seaview room, garden view nice too

Need not to say any more than just homely....!
Marhaba Beach provides you such lovely friendly faces and beautiful surrounding grounds, even in the winter!
Waiters, animation, maids and management team always provide as much help as they can to give you the best possible holiday you can have.
Not only are the staff good, I always enjoy my time there with the other guests as they are always smiley and willing to walk no matter what country your from or what language you speak.!!

Once you've been to this place there will be many more times you will want to return.!!
Trust me, I'm on about nearly my tenth! haha :-)

Just Got back From Marhaba beach with my wife, It was our 1st year wedding anniversary. The Hotel itself was clean and all the staff were very helpful, although I would say that it is a 3 and not 4 star hotel. The decor could really use some upgrading and modernising. The food although it was pretty similar daily was genuinely good and there is something there for all the fussy eaters. The hotel does put on alot of activities which are carried out by the animation team and a mention has to go out to Timo who was always happy to help and entertain.I particularly enjoyed the karaoake night and my apologies to everyone who had to put up with my rendition of Hello by Lionel Ritchie. The hotel is in a good location in Sousse, quite central to alot of places, the beach is on the door step and on the main road there are loads of shops to pick up your souvenirs and bits and pieces. There are also a few decent restaurants there aswell, although we were full inclusive a couple of times we did try other places. The taxis and generally alot of things are cheap there, there currency the dinar is weak compared to our pound so if you love your shopping you will definately get a few bargains. Yes it is pretty much a tipping culture and I did find that once you did tip you would then get a better service. One thing you must watch out for is all the hawkers on the beach, people trying to sell you stuff and push things into your face, this can be intimidating but a firm no will send them on the way, also there are alot of pick pockets so hold on tightly to your wallets and purses.
I also need to make a quick mention to alot of the nice people we met out there, Bippen and Raksha, Shaun and Sharlee, Billy and Wendy and Shaheed and Mal, Alfred and his missus from Oldham to, it was nice meeting all you guys and hopefully we will run into you lot again on our travels.
We would definately go to tunisia again and thoroughly recommend the place to anyone who has'nt been there yet ....

Room Tip: Choose a room higher up, better view of the sea..

Good points; Excellent service from all staff who all work extremely hard, Good food and choice, Good location walking distance into Sousse and taxi to port el K, Good standard of room even better if you get a sea view like us as hotel right on the beach, good indoor pool as was a bit cold in Feb, good animation team who arrange good entertainment and activities.
Bad points (not many); hotel needs a bit of updating however this seems to be being done at the moment and although the hotel is open during this they work hard to minimise disruption eg only doing work on rooms between 10-12, all inclusive drinks are limited would be nice for more even if extra cost, saloon lounge smokey as non smoking area limited.

Room Tip: a garden facing room is better for evening sun on you're balcony.
