Pool & Beach - Pool is clean & beach is nice. I would say beware of the beach activities health and safety definitely isn't the greatest. The 2nd day we were there we had a bit of rain and the winds picked up, to all the guests horror we looked up to the sky and a parachute containing 2 people got detached from the boat and these 2 people were floating way up in the air over Tunisia in high winds, all the guests were in shock and ran to the front of the hotel to see if we could see them in the parachute but it was no where to be seen, we hear sirens of ambulances and we were told by Tunisia local's that the people were okay they landed on a roof (this is just luck could have been much more serious).

Excursions - Fragiua Zoo Park this was a great day out there is a Dolphin Show here too. You can also swim with Dolphins here which I wasn't aware off until I arrived at the Zoo, so if you are looking to swim with dolphins that are treated with care then this is a safe place to do it :)

Lastly but not Least FOOD - The food is bland and very repetitive. There is a pool bar but beware there is stray cats & flys landing all over the food! Please beware I cannot stress this enough - I got not well on the day we were flying home to the UK, Environmental Health contacted me to inform me I had Salmonella Food Poisoning which has been picked up from this hotel !!

Please save your money and pick a different destination. I bumped into a few people at airport on way home who were all experiencing sickness etc. This hotel should NOT be rated 9th our of 39 hotel! Spoilt my holiday and i can safely say I won't be back to Tunisia.

Dear Guest,
We are really sorry to hear that you did have problems when returned back to your home. The whole team of the hotel is working hard to give a great and memorable holiday to our guest. We understand that every guest has his own perception of things. I would like to clarify few elements:
First of all, affirming that you did get the salmonella from the hotel is completely unjust. We do not argue the result from the environmental health. But no one can certify that it did happen from our hotel!!! You said it yourself that you did went to Fragiua Zoo Park where you could have been in contact of the bacteria, you could have been somewhere else in Tunisia where you have in contact with the bacteria. Concerning the hotel we can certify that we do not have any case of sickness related to salmonella. In fact, if we did have a outbreak of this sickness we would have had during that week more than one case especially that we have more than 1000 guest staying more than one week. The hotel is taking the health and safety very seriously, we have two permanent staff following all the hygiene for the food, plus we are testing daily the food. On the top of all of that, we have the international company CRISTAL controlling the procedures and the hygiene twice a week. We do have all the reports and the logs for the visits during the month of June and we do not have any problem what so ever.
I repeat that we are really sorry of what did happen to you, but I can certify that we do not have any outbreak of any sickness related to food.
I am not going to argue about any of the other comments since that we respect your opinion, that still yours and depending from you own perception of things. But making the hotel responsible for contracting the sickness is not.
Sincerely yours,

We stayed at the Riadh Palms Hotel (2 adults and 1, 9 year old) from May 26-9 June.
First impressions of the reception were very impressive, a slightly haphazard check in procedure, but this seems to be normal in North Africa.
Our room was available straight away and we had asked for a sea view, Boy did we get a sea view! It was fantastic, and the room was more than adequate for our needs, it was clean, the bathroom was spacious with separate toilet and there was more than enough storage space for the three of us.
The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and sheets/pillowcases every day, I have never seen so many cleaners in one hotel and they worked all day every day keeping the place tidy.
The restaurant was absolutely brilliant, if you cant find anything to eat at this hotel then you are beyond fussy, the food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. The waiters in the restaurant were happy, polite and efficient, and its not just because they were tipped, they were tipped because they deserved it.
The only downside to the buffet was the rude, thoughtless actions of other guests, obviously this can not be attributed to the hotel.
Bar service was fast and done with a smile, except one barman who was hilariously miserable.
There were some small queues, but this is a 900+ bed hotel, so again no complaints.
The pool was lovely, again, cleaned every day and watched over by up to 3 lifeguards, mattresses were available to make you even more comfortable, and the guy who sorts out the mattresses will put them out for you in the morning!
The beach is really lovely, we aren't beach people but had a walk down (30 yards from the pool) a couple of times, the only downside was the vendors, they wouldn't take no for an answer, I feel security could be tighter to stop these people hassling paying guests.
The entertainment mainly consisted of a man (Ridah) playing his keyboard and singing old classics, not exactly Las Vegas but at the end of a long day lazing by the pool, We just wanted to chill out with a drink anyway, the animation team did put on shows, but the indoor club where the shows were held was too warm and smoky for us (we are smokers).
There is a cash machine and supermarket 20 yards from the Hotel front doors, and plenty of reasonably priced taxis straight outside.
The town of Sousse is unfortunately not a nice place, if you could lift this hotel and put it in a nicer area, I would have no hesitation in returning, however as it is, we thank the management and staff of Riadh Palms for a fantastic stay and wish them all the best for the future.

Looks like a Four Star from reception but that's it. The food good the rooms clean but not in good condition and that is all. The rest of the staff not polite and only under stood you when money was envolved and as for the Bar well take your own booze because 8 out the 14 days we was there they ran out of vodka rum and even Fanta this was early in the evening .We complained but got nowhere they didn't want to know. The entertainment was awful just a guy on a key board half and half like Boney m music then you will like this entertainer. This was a family holiday from young to middle age the children play park is ready for the bull dozer. You ask would we stay there again NO, NO, and would we go to Tunisia again NO, NO . A cheap holiday and now we no why so if are going there you have some insight of what to except.
And this is a smoking hotel the only place that not is in the Dinning Room .The children Mini Disco they smoke you cannot get away from it. Hell.

Room Tip: The corner suites are better they are large and a lot nicer than the other rooms in the hotel. They...

We visited this hotel the first week in June. We arrived at midnight, the receptionist was lovely. he showed us to the restaurant whilst he was booking us in. The room was lovely with a fantastic sea view!! the maid came every day and changed towels etc... The food in the restaurant was lovely, always something to eat. I especially loved the cakes! The pool bar had pancakes on offer every day at 3pm, which the kids loved. The kids club is open every morning and afternoon our children didn't go often as there wasn't many English children there as we went out of school holidays. We went on a few trips with the hotel, I recommend the camel ride and quad biking trip. Apart from the trips we didn't go outside of the hotel as we got badgered by the locals especially with having small children (this spoilt the holiday a little as I like to walk around the local towns) There wasn't many English in the hotel, but this may be because of the time of year we was there. The entertainment was ok the animation team really tried, but wasn't the best. Kids enjoyed the mini disco. My main gripe with the hotel is they allow smokers in all the hotel apart from restaurant. The beach was right next the hotel, there was sunbeds provided and a assistant on the beach. There was a indoor and outdoor pool, both great. Overall 9 out of 10 for this holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!! this made our holiday

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of June and had an amazing time. Was concerned about the reviews previously but decided to just make up our own minds. Hotel was spotless, clean towels and sheets every day. Entertainment was hilarious and it was more entertaining to watch the people dancing to the organist than the man himself. Breakfast and lunch were fine but dinner got a bit bland. We went out to farmers steakhouse up the road which was great but also went to una storia across the road from the hotel. This was an amazing meal and you would pay 3 times the price in this country. The spa experience is a must and although there is limited dialogue it makes the experience very funny but equally the massage was amazing. Don't bother with the fantasia show unless you want to spend an hour watching someone on a bed of nails and charming a snake. Port el kantoui is well worth a visit and so is the Mediterranean restaurant for a meal overlooking the harbour. Monistair is accessible on the metro from sousse but not much there. We did the trip to the market on the Friday and had great fun bartering. It was perfectly safe to go out and we were two women and did not feel threatened at all. We had a great holiday. The weather was fabulous and as long as you expect to embrace the culture then you will have a great time. Top tip........if you don't want a benidormish pool experience and prefer to just relax on a sun bed then go onto the grass bit towards the right of the pool. Plenty of sun and peace.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. We were on the 4th floor and the views were fabulous
