We stayed here from the 9th to the "£rd of January 2013. We were given an old room on arrival, which was very clean and spacious. Bedding and towels changed everyday. Food was excellent and varied everyday our waiter Adif could'nt have been more helpful! Animation team work so hard and put on a good show and are happy to sit and talk with you. spirits are served in big measures but the barstaff will give you a small measure if you ask. We did not have one member of staff waiting or holding their hands out for a tip but they are very grateful for tips. Not one member of staff was rude in fact some of the rudest people in the hotel were fellow brits so shame on you! Pool area was cleaned daily by Maheer the pool boy, no sign of broken tiles by the pool! Drinks are served in plastic cups by the pool but guess the people who moaned about this would moan even more if they cut their foot open on a broken glass! Farmers Steakhouse down the road is well worth a visit best steaks we've ever had! Sahara Explorer trip is well worth it but be prepared for a long journey. For all the English people who moaned about having upset stomachs while we were there try washing your hands after you've been the toilet as we saw quite alot just walk out without washing! A holiday is what you make it if all's your going to do is moan about no margerine, bacon and english tea then stay at home or go to Blackpool!! We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and are planning to go back but for longer next time!

Great hotel have been here for 4 weeks staff helpfully chatty and interesting, food good and varied, if you cannot find something to eat here you must eat cardboard boxes at home . Yes tunisia is different it's not britian and cultures are different get on with it and respect it. In most respects we could learn something . The hotel is clean , the rooms are spotless beds changed daily as are towels and hotel staff are pleasant. Nothing bad I could honestly say , day time entertainment if you want to join in no pressure if you dont. Lots of nice guests in the hotel and have made some great holiday friends. Some of the foreign guests could learn to be better mannered but it does provide good entertainment watching them trying to be first at the resturant just in case the buffet runs out . it is replaced as soon as something is nearly empty so never a shortage. funny tummies well no but then we did not have the in flight meals that were in our overhead locker marked keep frozen store below temperature on them photos to follow Tomas Cook !! Central location to both sousse ank kantoui 4dinars in a taxi that's less than £2. Today's exchange rate 23 jan 2013. 2.42 dinars to the pound enjoy your holiday hope thus was helpfull .

A last minute holiday booked for a winter sun getaway for a young couple. At £440 for 2 people all inclusive i was only expecting the basics but was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Very nice on first view and hotel in general was of a good standard. We stayed in the older part of the hotel which had yet to be refurbished but was fine and had no issues with rooms, views etc. We had a pool and sea view and a little balcony that i imagine in the height of summer would be a little sun trap! While we were there 2nd week in january weather was nice so able to sunbathe. Plenty of activities throughtout the day to take part in suitable for all ages and with an indoor pool and fitness area even found stuff to do on the one cold day. Animation team put on shows in the evenings which again were good. Food would be fine even for the pickeist of people, plenty of choice and something different at each sitting. A great value holiday and would more than likely visit again.

Room Tip: request a pool view

OMG what and amazing week weve just had at the Hotel Marhaba.
Our stay was 13-20th January 2013 - weather was good on some days, and on days it was a bit chilly or over cast we enjoyed the indoor pool/gym and walked into Sousse. The hotel food is great and so was our Room with aircon/heating, balcony, Tv and Fridge...
Nights out were spent in the Neptune Bar or reception and we had one night in Le Grot (the hotels night club)...
After all inclusive finished We went to Saloon Sun Tue Wed Fri and we had a ball. Im 39 and Daughter 20 we never had any problems with people in or outside hotel.
Lots of older people were staying at hotel some for 3 months, we had so many laughs with them during the day and early evenings. We also met some girls from Sheffield and im sure we will keep in touch now were home...LOVE facebook x
Our Fave Animation was Gigi aka Enrique (such a little cutie) and Mido aka Borat (we joined the daily darts team with him)
The Thomas Cook Rep MOEZ - is amazing so much fun, so helpful and even came out with a load of guests one evening.
Will definatley back to this hotel in the spring/summer

Room Tip: Our room was to left when you walked into reception ROOM 102 which is a refurb room...

at this hotel from 30/12-06/01. my partner found the bottled water tasted vile . 3 days after arrival she had severe cramps and upset tummy. we had to call in the doctor on arrival home. samples taken came up positive for salmonella. we know other guests stated they were ill. has anyone else been ill? the health protection unit and environmental health were notified by the lab. Thomas cook has been informed and a claim completed.

Room Tip: make sure you asked for a refurbished room. old ones are disgusting. black grouting, broken peeling furniture and curtains hanging off the wall. whole hotel still needs attention.
