“Highlight of our holiday”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

We were shown to this Tunisian cafe while'st on holiday in 2011, by an enthusiastic local who was keen that we should try some authentic cuisine. We were hesitant at first but the warm welcome delicious food and generous portions made it one of the fondest memories of our holiday. So much so that we plan to go back this year. Well worth a visit.

“Probably the best local food restaurant in Sousse”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Although at first might look a little strange, hidden on a pretty empty street in the medina of Sousse, when we eventually decided to go in we had a great experience that we repeated as often as we could when in Sousse. The food is local and the restaurant itself has a great local colour, the service is excellent, with a waiter more than friendly (we've seen the same waiter every time we went), making you feel like home right away, giving great and objective advice on the courses to try and never stopping bringing all sort of "amuse-bouches" and funny interventions. Not to mention the unbeatable prices - we had for example a two-person three-course meal and extra mint teas on the house at the end with 17.70 dinars (about 8 euros)!!
Totally recommend!

“Nice little place in the medina”
Reviewed December 30, 2013 via mobile

Had a lunch here of cous cous and brik at this little restaurant. Nicely spiced cous cous served with bread and the brik was freshly made. Really enjoyed it and would eat here again. Lovely tea as well.

“Cheap, Cheerful and Excellemnt Value”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

The food is Tunisian not international. It does not serve alcohol. The food is tasty, well spiced and full of flavour. The food scrapes four stars for quality but should rate six stars for value for money. Eat here and enjoy. If you don't like spicy food don't eat here, but if you like a little bit of spice and a small chilli heat eat here. You will enjoy your visit and return. I did.

“A nice place for lunch”
Reviewed November 20, 2013 via mobile

While visiting the medina we stumbled across this nice place tucked away in the medina.
The service, food and price was excellent. 3 courses and a mint tea to finish all for about £4 each, a real bargain.
