“sea side walk”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

It is scenic but crowded with the public lower social class so they tend to stare at u if r a foreigner or different.
But it is a taste of alexandria so dont miss it.
There is a horse with a carriage ride that can take u up and down the corniche area. I paid 50 le for a one way trip from mahatet elraml to the" kaietbay citadel." That was fun...near the citadel is the three branches of the famous " gelatty azza " or the egyptian icecream parlour. In the branch i went to they only have 4 flavours ..the milk one was delicious. 3 scoops on a cone is for 6le which is considered cheap .

“Nice place to walk - with earplugs!”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

It's awesome to walk this boulevard wasn't it al those salesmen and horse carriage drivers yelling at you. Walk around using earplugs and enjoy the sea. There are enough places to get in a restaurant for a cup of coffee or ice cream or to get dinner when hungry.

“Needs a good clean up”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

A beautiful sea front that sadly needs some TLC. Lots of rubbish lying around. Vendors who plaugue you non-stop. Most of the restaurants need sprucing up

“Nice place to walk”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

It's a long corniche covers Alexandria city coast and was renovated few years ago,now it looks beautiful except for the tea stands ,and is very crowded in the summer nights, but in other seasons is calm and relaxing to have a walk and enjoy the fresh breath, and the scenes of the sea and of the beautiful Alexandria city :)

“The Alexandria Corniche is poorly taken care of nowadays”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Before, and earlier the Corniche was amazing & fantastic, no obstacles to see the sea from anywhere in the Corniche, but now the restaurants, and hotels are all over it, you can barely see the sea. I really don't know which idiot gave such allowance to do that !!!!

It's highly recommended not to be on the Corniche by night alone, specially for girls, and families, specially in summer, because you may meet some thugs hidden in the crowds. If you are not prepared, please try to avoid.

Alexandria in general is better in Winter than in Summer, less crowded, and quite, and better views, and cold weather (i like :) )

Hope that these info. would be of some help for you who plan to travel to Alex. soon
