This is one of the important landmarks of Alexandria, it is located close to where the ancient library of Alexandria once stood, it has an amazing architecture, and contains millions of books, a must see for all visitors.
For a long time I wanted to visit the library. Seen pictures from many sources. To visit it was a different story... Some things to know which we learn once there... If you go with a child less than 16 years old you need to take a free tour to go inside. The tour guide we had, Lili, was super nice and great. The price to enter the library is good and for students it is 50% off.
My Comments and suggestions to the administrators is that signage is important.. By placing, informing tourists ahead of time of these little things will save a lot of headaches... Please do not assume that everyone knows the rules that the Library. Again no signage that the tickets to enter are around the corner to the entrace... We learned that once we wanted to actually go in.
Beautiful library with small museums inside. It is fully air conditioned if you need to get out of the heat. You will be required to pay additional fees to go to other museums housed inside. It’s very cheap so not a deal breaker!

Modern Bibliotheca Alexandria is built almost in the same site of the ancient world famous Alexandria Library. It is rich with its unipue manuscripts and famous and rare works of art, Besides the surrounding restaurants and cafes. Visiting Bibliotheca Alexandria adds to everybody's culture and entertainment.
