Well if you are interested in architecture then the building from outside is really special. But that's all. Unless you need to find a certain book which you may not find then the visit inside is worthless

A library may sound like a boring place with books. This one definitely is not boring. It is the first library I've been to that had guided tours. This is a modern, state of the art facility and is very impressive. There are a number of small museums within the library.
Beware of the metal detectors. They can pick up every speck of metal on you. My pocket knife and can opener were confiscated. Fortunately I was able to retrieve them when I left.
I will not talk about the historical value of this place, I will just talk about its nowadays value :)
First of all, its location is perfect, at the center of Alexandria beside the sea (you can sit on any café and enjoy the view). You can take many beautiful pictures in the outdoor locations here and you can check the library itself with millions of books and don't miss the planetarium show.
Bibliotheca of Alexandria considered one of mine of Gold's for the researchers , you can find ton of books and records inside .
you can enjoy a low cost tour and see 3D film at bibliotheca Alexandria, also its too close to the sea and some attractions such QAUTBAI castle.
It is really worth visiting alexandria for seeing the library. With six museums inside and unique exhibitions and collections, it is a real cultural hub. You need at least six hours to explore it...book a private tour at 10:30 so u can finish at 6
