First of all, we asked for a room with a beach view and instead got thrown on the other side of the hotel. The room was overlooking the highway. I felt like i was sitting in the middle of the street, i could hear every little thing happening down there, the cars, the police sirens, it was not good at all.
Second, I have never slept on such an uncomfortable mattress in my whole life! it was like sleeping on a rock!! I could only sleep for a couple of hours each night.
Third, the price i was paying for this room was more expensive than what i payed in a five star hotel only a week later. I am not a cheap person, however, i do expect to get my money's worth, and there is nothing more i can regret all summer than paying what i payed at this hotel.
Fourth, when i went downstairs to the restaurant/cafe, my husband and i took a seat on the leather couch and decided we might order something. The waitress came and first asked if we were staying at the hotel, after we answered that we were staying in a room on the second floor, she ordered us to leave the couch because it is not open for outsiders. Okay, but did we not just tell you that we are staying in this hotel? Or did she think we were deliberately lying just so we can get that seat? Very disrespectful, unthoughtful and not at all smart.
Fifth, housekeeping was very noisy early in the morning(I'm talking like seven in the morning), they always woke us up. And the room doors make this awful sound when they're opened for too long a period, it added an even more frustrating ambiance to the whole experience. And when we went downstairs on our first day to ask for housekeeping to clean our room, it took them almost and hour and a half to get it done! It's a room not an apartment.
The first day we stayed there we asked for our breakfast to be sent to our room. They sent us a couple of stale pieces of cheese and a plate full of bread, orange juice and hot water for tea. The mug for the tea was not clean. The next morning when we asked for breakfast in the room again the man on the other end of the phone told my husband, "You should walk your legs down here for breakfast." HOW VERY DISRESPECTFUL.
We went down for breakfast. We asked for cappuccino with our food. It came very late after we had finished eating. It was very warm, and not even drinkable.
The only good thing was that there was free WiFi and had a strategic location (if i had gotten a sea view then the location would have mattered but since i was thrown into the street, i did not at all benefit from the location).
I would not give this hotel anything more than two stars, maybe two and a half. I stay in hotels all the time, and this is by far the WORST STAY EVER.
