During our short trip to explore Egypt in 4 days covering 3 cities Cairo, Alexandria and Luxor, our tour experience was ecstatic. Our Alexandria visit was a delightful experience courtesy to our tour guide Iriny, the only female representative with our entire tour bookings from Ramasside in Egypt. :)
Our Alexendria tour started with early morning drive from Cairo to a 3 hour drive to the northern coastal lines to this beautiful city. Through the beautiful coastline and great views of the city, we headed towards our first stop which was Montaza Palace and the gardens. There we visited the Royal gardens of King Farouk.
Later we visited the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, which is the largest Roman cemetery consisting of 3 levels cut in the rock.
Other places we visited during out tour were church of St. Mark (oldest church in Africa), Roman Amphitheatre and an uniquely designed ` the library of Alexandria` whose architecture was quite exhilarating.
Iriny provided us with a great in depth tour of all these places and added us a small local shopping stop as well to help us explore the local perfumes and Carthosh which we believed would be a great souvenir of our trip experience in Egypt.
After an exciting day of exploration in Alexandria, we headed back to Cairo where we picked our flight to Luxor for our next stop. Overall our experience was beautiful during our tour in Egypt. Thanks to Ramasside and thank you to Iriny, our tour guide.

We are in the final stages of planning our 3-week trip to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. In trying to squeeze in as much as we can to see of Egypt during the first leg of our trip, we have about 7-8 hours between flights from Egypt to Jordan that we wanted to use to see the Great Pyramid and Sphinx.
TripAdvisor has been my go-to resource for 15+ years of trip planning and the reviews on Ramasside on TA convinced us to book their Cairo Layover Tour.
Yes, as some have noted, the price may be higher than others, but for around $100/per person which includes lunch, transportation to/from airport and sites, secure luggage, and entry fees into the sites is a value as far as we are concerned.
The communication with our contact, Miss Nada Yehia, has been prompt, friendly and professional. She has listened to our interests and customized our tour to start st 7:00AM when we arrive at the airport from Aswan.
The booking process gives me confidence that our tour in May will be just as excellent as the service we have received.

I booked a Cairo layover tour with Ramasside. My personal tour operator, Sarah Kawana, was very helpful and responded very quickly to any emails or Whatsapp messages I sent. In addition, I made changes to my pick-up itinerary, which Sarah accommodated easily and quickly. While the price was higher than the other tour operators I contacted, I choose to go with Ramasside because they offered better customer service. The only issue I had was getting dropped off at the airport around 2pm for a flight that departed at 10pm - I suppose I could have asked what time the tour concluded, but also think that Ramasside could have been mentioned to me that perhaps I'd want to start the tour later, given the situation.
