The building used to be beautiful. It's a sign of times when Romania was a newly independent and fast developing country. You will find more of such pearls from end of XIX - beginning of XX century around the country.
It's a great pity that the building is in such a bad condition. Clearly nobody has any idea what to do it with it. Renovation will be very costly... In 2009 there was a good opportunity to renovate it - 100 anniversary of it's construction. I guess it will have to wait some years.
Nevertheless the casino is a must-see. Just close your eyes and imagine how the life used to be there a century ago with creme de la creme of Romanian (and not only) high-life coming there every evening...
