I found Hotel Casa Wagner by a coincidense and decided to choose it for my very first visit to Brasov.

It was a total match. I love history, old cities and houses. Casa Wagner is one, still, carefully modernized for needs and requirements of the 21st century. A friendly staff, first class breakfast served with a smile.

Stairs could be a problem for those disabled but not for me, even with some kneeproblems.

Given the chance don't miss out sightseeing with receptionist Valy. He has vast knowledge about Brasov, Transylvania and places worth visiting. I booked him for two days and enjoyed every moment of it. I know so much now which was all totally new to me. There is a lot of well preserved history in the area.

I am Norwegian and visited from Oslo but still prefer to give my review in English.

A couple of pictures will be added once Trip Advisor manage to sort out the downloading problems they had for weeks now.

Room Tip: If you don't mind waking upto the sound of the churchbells I would definitely recomment a room t...

The location of this Pension is very good, right at the main square in Brazov. Rooms very clean but small and dark. Don't get the rooms at the back of the building
We could not turn off the bathroom heating, very hot and uncomfortable.

Breakfast was good, try the eggs with saussages !

Room Tip: Don't get the rooms at the back of the building

If you like beautiful old buildings with great views and location you will love this hotel. The rooms are lovely and very traditional. The hotel is kept very warm so lovely when you come in from the cold.breakfast is good and staff are friendly and helpful.
The only negative i would say is no parking,it took us about 10 minutes to find a space but there was an event on in the square. We just walked through the pedestrian area to the hotel as we had little luggage.all in all this is a lovely old hotel in a fantastic location with probably the best view of the square.

Located in the center of the old city, near the Black church, which you cand see just from your window.
Different types of rooms depending of the floor. The hotel is in a very old building, I might say quite ancient and most of the furniture and details are the same. For instance the room number one near the the breakfast area is very big, lobby, big bathroom and with a view to the Piata Sfatului. The employees are very friendly. Breakfast is good- you cand ask for something if you have some prefferences.
the only minus that I could find is the parkink which do not exist so is quite hard to come with luggage at the hotel.

Room Tip: room with a view to Black Church, avoid the ones in the back- smaller

This ripe yet cozy 3* hotel is ideally placed on the sideline of the central square of the city, close to Brasov’s main attractions. It appears to have been recently renovated as its clean quaint rooms, as well as public areas, have now a somewhat refreshed vintage sparkle (the black wooden beams jutting out of the walls and ceiling, as well as the whitewashed walls interspersed with bare masonry have cut a nice swath among us).

All the same, even if there are rooms where the air stays fairly fresh, we had to share a minute foul four-people junior suite where, in spite of the open windows, the sewage odor eventually became a real fug... (I understand this is a general problem stemming from the old sewage system which the hotel have been unable to replace).

As for the breakfast, the dedicated tables and chairs are crammed in a small lobby located on the mezzanine floor, while the repast is not out of ordinary, yet palatable.

Anyway, the personnel is quite nice and ready to offer help whenever needed.

Room Tip: Stay away of the 4-people junior suite located on the first floor (you will end up jaded by the smel...

I stayed at Casa Wagner in Brasov recently and was pleasantly surprised of the personal attention and charming / comfortable room they offer. Very central, not to big and very pleasant. Especially I loved the HOME MADE breakfast and good service. I recommend it.

Room Tip: All rooms are different: Modern or Classic.

Our spacious room had a view of the main square and a comfortable king size bed. We were allowed to drop off and pick up our luggage in front of the hotel by asking the staff to advise the local security guard. Their breakfast was excellent and included eggs, pancakes, cheese etc and good coffee. We visited most of the old town on foot since the hotel is centrally located and closed to most attractions. The visit of the Black Church was quite disappointing as the place was very cold and not well set up for tourists. We used the rented car to visit Bran castle, Rasnov fortress and the local area. We parked the car for free every night about .5 km from the hotel at a local park. There are many good restaurants within walking distance from Casa Wagner and the shopping street is right around the corner.

Room Tip: Room # 3 above the main entrance is a nice suite with a great view, large bath tub, desk, armoire, a...
