We chose this because of good reviews and ignored the few negatives. We were right as we had a great stay! We had room 1 which was huge and looked over the square ok the church bells went off every hour but who cares! Staff were nice and friendly. We arranged two day trips with them first to bran castle and peles castle which were fab! Second trip we went to sigisoara via viscri! We were lucky at viscri as apparently the old church needs to be opened by the old lady who more often than not is not around! It had snowed the week before which added to our trip it made everything look so pretty. Casa Wagner was always warm! Breakfast was good omelettes cheese meat etc usual stuff. We would recommend staying here. It's near good restaurants too we went to Keller steakhouse da Vinci and casa tansilvania all great!

We drove from Bucharest to Brasov, which is a great scenic drive by the way and had trouble finding this hotel because it was so centrally located. My wife and I eventually parked and walked to the center square and lo and behold the hotel was right there! We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly and were given a nice little room that was just perfect for the two of us. The central location was ideal for our excursions around Brasov to include to a nice little Irish Pub that was in the basement of a cafe right around the corner! The breakfast was very good for every taste and you could even order eggs. Being a runner I started a run early one morning from the hotel, and despite getting some curious looks from the staff and other patrons I totally enjoyed exploring Brasov on foot while jogging in the morning, really gives you the feel of how a local sees the town. Overall an excellent hotel in an even better locationl I would totally stay there again!

Casa Wagner is the best choice in Brasov, at it's located in the center of the city. The staff was frendly, the rooms are nice and clean.

The Casa Wagner hotel is quite old and used to be a German bank. The building is recently renovated with small, beautiful rooms. Very cozy! The price was definitely affordable, and the staff spoke Romanian, German, and English very well. There was no phone in the room, which was nice for once (it makes it feel more old-world), but whenever the staff needed to inform us of something, there was a knock on the door. The only problem I had was during my last night, for whatever reason, the staff decided to re-arrange the furniture in the room above us. It kept us up all night (no exaggeration). The price is affordable, and the location is superb. Directly in the middle of town square and walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Brasov.

The longest walk was to the old Brasov Citadel, which is now a restaurant. That was quite an adventure. We walked through the pouring rain, in the dark, knowing only that the castle was at the top of the hill. Getting lost on those roads was fun and we got to see a large variety of architecture and even stumbled across an old emergency psychiatric hospital (Urgenţă Psihiatrie). There was one light on inside, and a man with a lab coat.

The staff fed us VERY well, and the little chubby woman who baked our "cookies" was so proud of them and was so pleased that we enjoyed them. There was no refrigerator in the room, so we placed our leftovers outside on the window sill (it was quite cold outside). Overall an excellent experience.

Room Tip: The top most floor is a large attic with many beds. If possible don't sleep directly below this level, because the staff may rearrange the furniture up there while you're trying to sleep. Just because it happened to us doesn't mean it'll happen to everyone, just a heads up.

We had the junior suite with the direct view of the main square and with the xmas market and giant xmas tree, it was definitely the sight that you need during your holiday. The close proximity of it to everywhere made it very convenient to shop, to eat and sightseeing to the Black Church, it even have KFC next to it, in case anyone interested in it. If not there are chinese, traditional romanian restaurant to choose for. It is not noisy at all.

Breakfast choice is limited but coffee is excellent, my father loves it and he rarely said so. The receptionist is a very friendly lady. One thing to mention is that it doesnot have a lift hence you need to carry your luggage up, luckily we have our tour guide to do it for us.

When you are in Brasov, this is where you should be.
