I stayed in room #14; it looked nothing like the several lovely rooms shown on the internet. It was large but very basic, a bit worn out with nothing special; no great view, no balcony, no sloped ceilings, just a bit dull. Nothing like the reviewer GIZMOCAIRO describes! Rm 14 is on the second floor and there is no elevator. Flat screen TV with CNN was great. Bathroom was large but poorly designed. Toilet paper sits on the floor because there isn't a holder. No place to put clothing to keep it dry while showering. The ledge by the sink is over the toilet, so be sure to put the lid down or items can easily end up in the toilet. The house next door has dogs and they barked all night. The garden had been closed down for the winter, flowers dead, no lovely courtyard.

The breakfast was just OK, probably my least favorite in Romania. Staff needed to be encouraged to re stock it as the eggs and bread were pretty much gone upon arrival. Coffee awful.

I wanted to walk to the old town at night, alone. Its about a15 minute walk, but the first part felt unsafe and dark, until getting to the University of Transylvania, where it was much better. Not my favorite hotel, but a lovely city!

Comfortable, neat and clean accommodation. I stayed one night at this hotel in Brasov. Good value. Very friendly and helpful staff, they spoke English well. Good location. Breakfast was nice as well! Thank you! :)

We selected this accommodation based on the photographs, the location and the fact that, although it was close to the Old Town centre, it offered parking.
On arrival, we managed to park in one of the few designated spots right in front of the hotel. We arrived well before official check-in time but were immediately given our room key with no comment whatsoever.
The rooms lead off a central courtyard with a running water feature and beautiful plants and flowers.
As the hotel was full and we'd booked a double room, we were actually upgraded to the apartment suite in the attic. On entering the room, we were amazed to find 3 separate areas. Through the skylight windows (all with integral blackout blinds) we could see over some of the Old Town and even up to the Hollywood style Brasov sign on the hilltop. From the large (almost church shaped) window opposite the bed, leading on to a private balcony, we overlooked the courtyard and, in the distance, the forested hills.
The huge bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was very effective. There were televisions in both the bedroom area and lounge area. The lounge was well equipped with a leather suite comprising settee and 2 armchairs which was very comfortable and a large coffee table. The third area had 2 pull down single beds, a small dining table with 6 chairs and a huge fridge freezer which was stocked as a mini bar. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with great water pressure and included a wider range than usual of complementary toiletries and other sundry items. The addition of real plants really enhanced the ambiance in the living accommodation.
Breakfast was included in the room rate and had a selection of hot and cold items as well as cereal and fruit.
The staff was, without exception, friendly and welcoming.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a base for anyone visiting Brasov as it took around 10 minutes to walk to the main square. We will certainly return.

I stayed at Curtea Brasoveana for five nights in July and absolutely loved it. The location is very good...on a quiet street just around the corner from Piața Unirii and an easy walk to Piața Sfatului. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I stayed in room 23, which was clean and spacious with great views of Mount Tampa. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Brasov in the future.

Nice, a quiet Romanian traditional pension, 4 stars. We were 2 couples and 1 child, we booked a spacious apartment, very nice, with terrace, we liked it very much. Room number is 21, I recommend it! Breakfast included, a basic buffet, nothing special.Safe place for car. No elevator.

Room tip: I recommend room 21
