“Quiet place to relax and chase pigeons”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

I actually like seeing the pigeons take over the central plaza, so maybe it's just me.
There are little shops, eateries and benches around so you can take a breather between walking to churches. The tourism bureau is here, too, if I remember correctly.

After the super busy town centers of other places in Europe, it's nice to be able to take a break here.

“Can't be missed”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

The city hall is located in the center of the Brasov, where you could find a lot of people going around, a lot of restaurant and very nice building. Also you may find some historical information about Brasov; revolution depends on when you will visit. Beside you is the black church. In the week end they are making a big market for glossary, its cheap and very good. 10 minutes walk you could go to the telegraph. i really enjoyed it.

“:)”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

this is actually the former city hall. Now it works more like a museum and a place to learn about Brasovs history. It's opened every day so you can visit it. It has a functioning clock and the bells are being pulled everyday at noon and at midnight. Somethimes, i dont know the exact time, some people wearing the old clothings from the early 1800 and they sound the trumphets. Its surounded by a square with a fountain where you can enjoy the sun.

“Great overview of Brasov history.”
Reviewed May 13, 2012 via mobile

Well worth the 7 lei. The exhibits were well laid out and informative. Even though only about halve had English translations put on as an afterthought. Great pictures and exhibits of how the guilds were such a big part of establishing the middle class in Transylvania. Made me come back and research Transylvania and Romanian history.
