A priest there is dedicated to enhancing the history of Romania by translating very old books some of which are on display at this fascinating building.

We had an unplanned visit to the first romanian school from Scheii Brasovului and it was really amazing. Even the museum was closed, because we arrived in a Saturday afternoon, a nice man asked us if we want to go inside and we said yes. What we discovered their : real jelleweries of culture - a lot of olsd books in original , old bibiles and manuscriptes it was very interesting. And the man who take care of this museum is an orthodox priest which is a live enciclopedy . I really recommend this place.

This place is full of very important and one of a kind books. It was definitely one of the highlights in Brasov. There is very little information in English, but we got a private tour of the place which was wonderful.

It is amazing to sit in the desks of people who changed the history of this nation. This place should be on the list of each tourist that comes to Brașov! I just hope they have an English tour...

Story behind the school was the first printing press in Romania was placed here. A replica was shown here including several 16 century printed books on display.

I honestly wasn't too interested when I heard that it was mostly old books but we went since we were there and it turned out to be really interesting. These books are true treasures. Very cool to see some ancient music compositions as well. The building and old school seats and whatnot were fun to see as well and the tour guide was super friendly and tried hard with his limited English. Fun little side site.

This is considered to be the first Romanian school in Transylvania. The priest who takes care of this little museum is very knowledgeable, talkative and welcoming. Will show you many interesting old books :)

Great museum for kids and adults! This is not a museum; it is kept alive by the priest that embodies the old style teacher, old, wise, kind, humorous and very, very clever.

This was a gem of a find that we would not have normally have visited if we were on our own. The curator was very informative and a real gem also.
