The hotel is small and set in a courtyard coming off one of the main streets in the Old Town and is only a couple of minutes walk from the square, Black Church, and cable car. At present they can't offer breakfast but do provide a map of the surrounding area with suggestions for eating etc.

We stayed in the Gold Room on the ground floor, which was big and comfortable. The heating worked well, which was essential given the cold. The bed was comfortable, quilt thick, and a fleece throw available in case you felt the chill. The shower was slightly temperamental, and the bathroom a little small, but these really were minor niggles.

We had only booked one night originally but on arrival asked if we could have an extra night and were really glad that we did. Brasov is a lovely place, ideal base for day trips to Bran Castle or Poiana Brasov ( ski resort) and a host of other locations. I would be happy to go back to this hotel again because of its location, comfort, welcoming staff and value for money.

Excellent location, at the main street (republicii street), close to the black church.
the room was very big and cozy and also very very clean.
the hostess was realy nice.
there is free WiFi at the hotel but you must be at the room that close to the reception.

Room Tip: The rooms near the reception have WiFi signal. otherwise there is signal in the lobby

Just packed our bags and now sitting in Bucharest Airport. We have just finished our 4 night stay in Casa Albert in Brasov, Romania.

We picked the hotel because of the previous reviews and we were not disappointed in any way.

We stayed in the 'Green Room' (but also had a tour or Cream, Blue and the Bordeaux suite!).

This was such a nice room and such a great small hotel.

Very friendly staff (owners) who were very helpful.

and the location was just yards from the fantastic pedestrian walk way leading to the Old Square with hundreds of great restaurants.

The Casa Albert didn't provide any food, but about to open a restaurant, but we loved walking out onto the street and choosing one of the many cafe bars right on the door step (particular favourite was the Bistro d'Art about two mins walk away...turn left out of hotel, first right then first left)

We fully recommend this hotel and look forward to our return

Room Tip: Loved the green room, but the two suites available (Blue and Bordeaux) for a little more money looke...

We saw the house 2 years ago and wanted in our next visit to stay here. We weren't disappointed, it was perfect! Right in the historical center of Brasov, on the main pedestrian street, but though very quiet in the courtyard. The rooms are big enough, clean and confortable. Each room has a different colour and you can see on the walls paintings representing moments of the city's history. There is a terrace where you can sit for a coffee or an afternoon talk. It's very close to the main atractions of the city. The hosts are very kind and they help you with any information you need. We ate at a restaurant recommended by them and it was delicious. For the moment there is no breakfast, but the restaurant is under construction. Anyway, you can find lots of places to eat near the house. We spent a great time here and for sure we will come back! Highly recommended!

Room Tip: There is no tip, every room it's unique!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and overall we were very happy with the place. VERY quiet as we were so close to the main pedestrian street. Great inviting terrace and very nice furniture in the rooms. No breakfast yet, but apparently this will change in the near future.

2 issues: why no fan in the rooms? I understand that it is not always hot, but it was nearly unbearable one night. No air movement whatsoever. Also, the TV is right in front of the window so even if there was some air, it could not get in! Also, Wifi was always cutting in and out. The owner said she was getting this fixed after I left, so it may not be a problem anymore.

I would stay here again, but hopefully these issues will be addressed.

Great breakfast cafe nearby. You really cannot go wrong.

Everything was just like before, excellent in every way, and yet...

One day, we came back in the afternoon to rest, having a 3 year old child with us. They were working on o terrace just in front of our room. They knew we have a child with us and we kindly asked them to stop making noise for a while, which they agreed...but in the end have not respected our wish and their promise. They apologised afterwards, but the damage was done. After an excelent attention to customers' needs until now, you can imagine how we felt. It is understandable that they wanted their work done, but they should have respected our wish, for it was the only time in our stay there that we wanted quiet in the afternoon.

We really like this place and I hope to get over this bad experience. I also hope that the terrace will not disturb the tranquility with which this place prouds itself! I hope to come back and feel excellent again!

Casa Albert is a woderfull place to say and enjoy a romantic weekend!
It was the first time but for sure not the last time.
We had a doubel room which was really big and confortavble.
The staff speaks English very good and give us many information regaring spending the time in Brasov.
In few months (maybe less) they will serve breakfast in their Bistro whichis also really charming too!
The owner pay attention to any details which is really important!
Don't hesitate to choose Casa Albert!
