Stayed here for 3 nights, didn't need to make a reservation. The hostel was quiet due to late season. A very welcoming hostel run by 2 sisters - very attentive towards their guests and it did feel more like a stay in friends house. Dianna arranged a trip out of Bran castle and a bear sanctuary (their dad takes you there) with a couple of other guests. Although you do need to pay for this service - if you get the opportunity, it's worth considering (unless you are confident with the Romanians) as I found the public transport staff unbelievably unhelpful - behind their glass smoke screens shaking their heads! There isn't a very regular service to places either. They (the public transport staff) certainly didn't seem interested on the benefits of tourists visiting their area, I felt more like a nuisance. So I did get to see at least some of the local attractions thanks to this hostel even though I did pay a little bit (it's not extortianate).
The hostel itself is simple accommodation. It is probably due some upgrade such as the bedding and things for the kitchen. It isn't an ideal kitchen (very small) for self catering though it doesn't cost much at all to eat out in Brasov, though the food isn't that great.
There is free wifi in the lounge which was good. They did my laundry for me for a small fee, there is however no dryer, they hang dry it for you. The rooms are slightly more spacious than other hostels I've stayed at and there is large cupboard to secure your things with chain for locking. It is cheap to stay here. It's probably a good hostel to meet other travellers when busier. Finally their cat Judy is very sweet!
