The Museum of History in Sibiu, ROMANIA, is NOT TO BE MISSED! Very good self paced historic ethnographic tour from early man's development on the land of the Carpathians. A good review, done very well of man's progress from the age of the discovery of fire, stone tools, metals age, etc. seen mostly through the development of weapons. Dacia peoples, the Romans, the dark age's wars etc. It leaves one with a good grounding on the ancient background of this oftenoften disregarded region.
Couple this museum with a visit to the pharmacy museum and the Brukenthal with its Dutch Masters paintings and religious robes from12-15thth century Lucca, Italy and you have a great day for the intellectually curious. There is a lot more to Romania than Bram Stoker's Dracula!
